Most points scored since 2000:

1 New England Patriots 9511
2 New Orleans Saints 9147
3 Green Bay Packers 9036
4 Indianapolis Colts 8856
5 Los Angeles Chargers 8557
6 Philadelphia Eagles 8520
7 Kansas City Chiefs 8404
8 Seattle Seahawks 8189
9 Denver Broncos 8177
10 Pittsburgh Steelers 8140

Eagles are top 10 in both defense and offense since the turn of the century, for all the crap Lurie gets, we have been one the consistently best organizations in football.

You are aware its 2022 right? We live in the present. So we have to take the last 3-5 years max. Game wasnt even close to the same 20 years ago. Completely different era of football.

Are you sure your not a Cowboys fan?

ITB is still talking about Howard after the draft if they don't land a RB... Please make it stop.

I did chuckle at that episode.  Basically, they are going to every draft non-STs position high (because the roster is so depleted), except QB, LB and S, and if they don't do LB and S, Mosher will go on a rant about it afterwards as I suspect he is as exasperates as most fans are about it.

The previous ep was good though.

2017 was magical. But outside of that in the Howie Roseman dozen years the team hasn't been a top 3 seed at all. And statistically those are the teams with a decent shot to win.  It's been a lot of smoke & mirrors around 3 9-win and 2- 10win playoff appearances otherwise. And that's with one of the worst divisions in football in that time. The Eagles haven't been bad obviously but they really haven't been anything near a top tier team for a long time outside of one season.  Goes back a few years before Howie even. If we're being honest the Eagles were one of the best teams in the league from 2000-2004 but outside of that it's been a few one off playoff runs

Going to be a very interesting pro-day.

I didn't realise how much Chris Long has the Dolphins fans on strings until stuff like the below:

The "credit where it's due" goes to Howie for every trade and signing in the 2016 and 2017 offseasons turning to absolute gold.

The issue is that almost nothing before or after has been great.  And drafts are a consistent black eye...even in 2016 and 2017.

Yet S and LB are two of the weakest positions on the team but we're not going to address them. It's infuriating.

We should be front and center watching this one. Not sure if he makes it to 15 but could be an absolute steal.

Yep.  Just good enough for Lurie and the fans to be content. Stadium is full.  Merchandise is being sold.  All's good.

Feels like the team really needs to hit rock bottom before they recover but they just keep hovering around largely bad but competitive with the NFC East being what it is.  I don't root for the team to lose I don't like to throw away seasons but my head tells me unless they get very lucky with a not top QB pick then that's what needs to happen

Yeah he's been like a bad homerun hitter who hits below .200 but connected on a massive homerun one time.  But now he's morphed into a guy who isn't swinging much anymore and is just content to hope the bad pitcher (NFC East teams) occasionally walks him..

This is an interesting problem.

Essentially what if you have no takers to get a 2023 pick.  Then if you finish say with the 18th pick in 2023 you'd have to trade multiple one's to move up for the 3rd or 4th best QB in that draft. And if that pick is a miss then you easily could have traded top 10 draft picks in multiple years.  Essentially a disaster scenario that quite frankly doesn't seem all that unlikely

The problem is greed, but not "corporate greed." It's not corporations blocking most programs, it's a combination of fantasy on the Left (we can finance everything by taxing the rich) and selfishness on the Right (I got mine, f--- you!). The European countries with a stronger safety net have higher tax rates - not so much income and corporate taxes but a Value Added Tax, which is basically a national sales tax. Some countries also have high sin taxes. Americans want benefits but don't want to pay taxes.

We couldn't afford Medicare for all, Medicaid yes, i.e. a stripped down version of Medicare - but hand in hand with universal health care is rationing of health care, and those with money will always get better health care - the question is whether we can finally provide universal basic health care (which would be cost effective since indigent patients raise costs for everyone else, can't get blood from a rock). Then those with money could purchase supplemental health care (access to better doctors, like many Medicare Advantage plans, and other benefits).

It would be fairer and more efficient to provide universal health care, right now taxpayers subsidize health care provided by corporations and government - because those benefits should be treated as income and taxed - everyone else has to buy health insurance with after tax dollars. That's why the top 5% get gold plated health care, b/c their companies write it off as an expense but they don't have to pay taxes on what is effectively income.

By treating the equivalent of plan C in Medicare as income, people would decide if they want cash or supplemental health insurance, and with universal health care, people could change jobs or start their own business without worrying about losing their health benefits.

We already spend twice as much than any country on healthcare and we get worse health outcomes than many of those countries.

Multiple studies have been conducted that including one by a GOP think tank attempting to prove Medicare for all wasn't viable and they concluded that we would spend less than we do now and everyone would be covered, multiple other studies have come to the same conclusion.

No longer would health care be tied to employment and no longer would employees share the burden of providing healthcare costs for employees which in theory would allow them to increase wages, not that they would but they could

Like I said  greed.

The corporate tax rate during one of America's most prosperous times was around 50%, Reagan failed trickle down GOP econimics cut that to around 35 Trump cut it again to what it is today around 21.

Money in the hands of the rich doesn't trickle down, the level of wealth inequality is higher now than right before the depression, 2 people in America have more wealth than the bottom 40% of the population.

and I agree with most of what you posted as well

I thought that COVID would've fast tracked this issue with healthcare being tied to employment being a bad thing. Problem is that large corporations are able to leverage their ****, but better and more affordable than small businesses, healthcare to keep their employment more desirable so they want to keep the status quo.

I can't get part one to open but this is a good breakdown on Olave, Pickens, David Bell, Christian Watson, and Jalen Tolbert

Too many question marks for day 2 WRs and we can’t miss on another. I would say it’s almost a lock we go WR in round 1.

Just say no to the PAC 12

9-8 team with 3 1st rd picks, 10 picks overall and a top trade chip in Dillard.

My god I hate rooting for such mismanagement!

That's how you screw up a rebuild, they should have gone 4-13 and picked in the top ten.

Yeah, I think it's very likely if Howie keeps all 3 first round picks it will be 2 defensive players and one WR -- assuming they don't draft a QB.

Burks would be my guess on who they take.

Love that Pickens will be 21 years old for his entire rookie season. Hes already so good. But so much time for growth.

Thank you!!!!

I'll go one step further. I dont want an AAC player in the first 2-3 rounds either

No Sauce, Logan Hall, Tulsa/Memphis OL, Ridder... not that many to avoid really.

Edit: Forgot about Alec Pierce, who would be a nice consolation for missing out on Chark.

Sorry to hear. My place was broken into about 4 years ago during the day when I was at work. They just took my laptop and tried to take my tv but I guess it was too heavy because they just left it sitting up right in the alley.

Also my first reaction is he dropped someone else’s ID in your kitchen intentionally.

Good thing you keep your massive dilldoe collection locked up in a safe!

Yup, one would have thought covid would have steered the country closer toward a universal healthcare solution but corporations and big business are powerful influences in this country and have their greedy little paws in everything including and especially the government where they bankroll and influence policy
