At that point, I wouldn't even bother. Just go into the season with slop at WR, hope you suck enough for a top 5 pick. Need elite talent at the position or not at all.

There's good WR value in the mid-rounds.  Ross, Metchie, Robinson, maybe Christian Watson, Pickens, Bell, Pierce, Moore could all be sitting there in the 3rd.  Most of them definitely in the 2nd.

Seems like a three-team trade, maybe NYG wanted current year picks for example.  

Did a TDN mock and they took Pickett at #19, so the logic is still unclear...

That’s my thinking. I don’t expect much, but now I have even more incentive than before to root against the Saints. For two straight years. An extra high 2nd rounder could be nice too. 

FYI I can almost guarantee that Howie will trade a 3 to move up to get a guy. He might even feel comfortable trading a 2.

That doesn’t mean it’s "stacked” it has good depth, but stacked usually means blue chip talent. There’s only one blue chip prospect in this class

Kinda torn on the trade. I really would have liked to come out of the draft with a CB LB and DL. 
 

However this trade puts them in line to land a potential better QB prospect than any of the QBs this year. If this trade can land a CJ Stroud or Bryce Young it could be well worth it. 
 

Oh yeah we are definitely gonna suffer with Hurts another year for sure now.

Eagles were never going to take a LB anyway, lets be real.

Saints should still be capable of making a playoff push given the NFC isn’t as strong this year. But won’t have offensive mind of Payton, they lost Armstead, Thomas missed this year, Kamara is a ??, and now likely will have just Winston and/or a rookie QB. Defense is still pretty good. I imagine that pick will be similar to where colts/Eagles picks are this year 

My guess is DL/CB.

That was a good trade. Saints are likely not going to be that good even if they make the playoffs they are likely at best the 5 seed and lose early. Getting the 3rd rounder this year and a 2nd in 2024 is pretty nice haul.
