It's not top-heavy, but deep into day two.

Until the guy the Saints pick at #16 wins ROY.

Guaranteed it’s the ROY at an Eagles’ position of need.

Eagles pick Drake and they take Jameson

Helluva finish tonight in the Natl Championship!

I know there's been some debate in the blog about Dillard's trade value. Some think he's worth a 2nd, other laugh and say he's barely worth a 4th/5th. Compromise? 2025 1st round pick baby!

If they take him that will be two Drakes I dispise!

PFF ran the trade through their analytics model and the Eagles win the trade over 60% of the scenarios.

Spoiler: They think Eagles got an "absolute steal".

They just ran out of gas.  Love was killing them tonight.  Manek and Bacot beat up.  They only go 6 deep.  Gutsy run for them.  Kansas is the better team.

Did anyone see the floor buckle when Bacot rolled his ankle. Then Manek slid in the same spot from the dotted to the friggin far line. What the hell was that BS?

Brutal UNC collapse in the 2nd half.

Had neighbors in my condo yelling at the TV. Conversed with some on the porch. Just devastated by the emotional rollercoaster of it all. Said they'd rather be blown out than to be on the wrong side of history by giving up the biggest lead.

*I live in the heart of UNC country.

Just missing the Eagles door before the Colts

Watched a video where a guy broke apart the trade into two trades. We definitely got more value and won the trade but it does show an interesting perspective.

First pic is essentially New Orleans just trading up and the 2nd is Eagles trading back from #19 for future picks.

I think ultimately both teams are probably going to be pretty happy with this trade. NO now have 2 first round picks and a lot of scope to do a lot of things. We still have 2 first round picks and now we have a first next year.

I like the trade. 2 firsts next year in case hurts sucks this year and we're looking for a qb in the next draft. I do think they use another first or second on WR now though so there are no excuses for hurts

WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Jayhawks, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, (insert ric flair wooo here)

Jumping in late here....

Where did you see that the 1,2,3 that we got for #16 was not favorable?

Just to throw in... the 3rd is a comp pick third, not the Saints' own pick.  A difference of over 15 slots.

To be fair, it doesn't seem to discount the first in 2023.

Either way, it still is a nice value....GIVEN THE UNCERTAINTY OF WHERE THE SAINTS WILL PICK NEXT SEASON, THAT WILL CERTAINLY BE USED TO CRITICIZE THE TRADE IN HINDSIGHT!!!

Agreed.  Nice value, not necessarily market value.  But since it was more important to roll assets to the future, Howie was motivated to sell a little cheap.

That chart shows zero devaluation for the first a year in the future nor the 2nd 2 years away.

We can argue all day about who won the trade and who got better value but at the end of the day what matters is what both teams do with the picks.  If the Saints come away with their franchise QB and the Eagles bring in more Marcus Smith, Sidney Jones and JJAW kind of players then the Saints win the trade by a landslide.  If the Eagles are able to come away from the draft with a few cornerstone pieces and find their QB next year then the Eagles win it.

This is the Eagles and Howie Roseman.  We all know he's capable of pulling off draft trades.  He needs to prove he's capable of nailing those picks.  2021 looks promising....now we need to see what happens moving forward.

While I like the trade, that really doesn’t apply to this trade at all.

You’re nuts

He’s a troll

For liking the trade or for not thinking it was a one sided trade in the Eagles favor?
