The Rams are not the blueprint I would choose for building and maintaining a roster. Their franchise player is basically an interior DL.  Their WR corps is not built with your traditional explosive athletes or speedsters.  They trade draft picks away for vets relentlessly….they never have 1st or 2nd round picks.

Ever since our 2017 run, people joked that the Rams better win one now because they mortgaged everything to go all-in.

Yet here they are.  Not only are they still going on playoff runs, arguably armed better than ever with Stafford, but THEY are the one team in the NFC that seems primed to compete for the next few years as GB collapses and everyone else wonders who their QB will be.

I don't believe in Stafford at all.  I like the Rams WR corps, but I'm not that big on OBJ. I think Kupp is an absolute monster. Woods is a great #2 (although he is out for the year) for them and Van Jefferson is a good young WR.

How deep a playoff run would Jimmy G need to make for the 49ers to consider sticking with him and trading Lance to get some draft capital back?

How much could Lance fetch in a trade?

I think Lynch knows what he’s doing.  It’s plain to see that Jimmy G is a passenger on this run so far.  Unless they win the SB and it is sentimentally necessary to stick with Jimmy G, that job will and should belong to Lance when he’s ready.  Even a SB appearance won’t do it.

The Packers window just slammed shut tonight.

I'm going with Bills or Bengals for the end

Social media is insufferable tonight, as expected. One of the reasons I wanted Rodgers win, to see the meltdowns over him winning.

Burrow had 9 though, so it is little skewed.  Allowing 4 sacks isn't great, but allowing 9 is ridiculous.

I don’t know - they have negative cap space in 2022, a 40-year LT and maybe a handful of day 3 draft picks. Living on the edge…

Rodgers with a QBR of 19.3.

Sheesh.

they went down this road with Krapernick...Lance is not gonna be a good NFL qb.

Unless they know Lance is not the guy, they've had a year with him now, should have a good sense as to whether or not he is the franchise going forward.

I actually agree with Albert breer. If the niners go back to Jimmy G without winning a super bowl it means they likely don’t believe he’s as good as they thought.

It amazes me how outraged people are over one person's opinion. It's such a **** mindset.

For the amount of vitriol he gets, you'd think he went on some racist bigoted rant.

All he did was say he didn't get the vaccine because he's allergic to polyethylene glycol, so he pursued alternative ways to protect from the virus, said the woke mob is trying to cancel him, and somehow that angered people. It's absolutely insane. Totally innocuous.

It's why I theorize it's not the vaccine people are actually annoyed about. I think it has more to do with the fact that he used "right wing buzz words" like "woke mob" and the second any athlete shows a modicum of not being very far left, social media completely turns on them. Happened to Enes Kanter. He was a popular player for the longest time for speaking out against Turkey and Erdogan. The second he started calling people out for turning their backs to China's prison camps and went on a couple right wing leaning talk shows, everyone hates him now.

These are superstars. Their opinions reach a large audience so the Lebrons and Rodgers of the world are always gonna get heat.

It’s worth noting the only Super Bowl the Packers ever won with Rodgers they were the #6 seed.  Any time Rodgers has a team that has home field advantage he invariably hasn’t gotten it done.  It’s okay, though — he’ll make some dopey remark to throw the special teams coaches under the bus and folks will keep kissing his rump and saying it’s not his fault.

What plays specifically tonight did Rodgers leave on the field?

For example with Hurts people can point to a number of plays that he didn't make.

I didn't see anything tonight that Rodgers messed up. This falls under the sports cliches of when a team doesn't succeed it's just on the QB. I don't buy into that line of thinking. It's simplistic and has no nuance. It's always a generalization "If he played well his team would have won."

If a player is responsible for their team losing, then it stands to reason people could give specific things they failed at to cause their team to lose. I didn't watch the all 22, but upon first glance I didn't see anything Rodgers did wrong in this game. Was on point with his throws. Made plays when guys were open.

There just weren't a lot of guys open. The Niners D played well, the special teams gave away multiple points, and they were a key fumble on a crucial drive.

But if there were plays tonight he left out there that I didn't spot, by all means.

49ers are underrated IMO. Three straight wins in must-win game in LA, Dallas, and now Green Bay. That defense has been on a roll. I could see them winning it all.

3 - 1st round picks for a kid that barely tossed 300 passes in college. Seemed crazy then, still does.   Funny thing if 2022’s QB class ends up being better than 2021’s, but it may not take much.
Lance and Wilson drafted for arm strength and neither can read a defense. Fields and Jones bad QB schools, and every other intermediate pass Lawrence throws, gets intercepted.

Aside from the QB, the Niners have a better roster than the Packers. The Niners were my SB pick from the NFC before the season. Not gonna lie, I changed it after their slow start, but the potential is there.

I thought they had a real shot in this game. GB was the best team in the NFC all year, but they were no powerhouse. There aren't any this season. And so far it's shown with 2 #1 seeds going down. Though these games played out a little differently. The Bengals outplayed the Titans most of the game. I thought the Packers outplayed the Niners, just special teams ruined them. And that first quarter fumble was a killer. Packers probably go up 14-0 otherwise and the game plays out totally different. But elite teams overcome that. This Packers team is not elite.

All the more reason the Eagles should go all in for a QB this offseason.

Yup, if you're gonna put yourself out there like Rodgers or LeBron, then learn to take the heat, or take the Jordan or Montana route and STFU.

This is the 5th NFC Championship appearance for San Fran since 2011 (2 Super Bowl Losses).    This ties the Eagles (2001-2008) last decade.   Sorry Aaron but 10 points isn't going to cut it man.  That Packers Defense did their job holding San Fran to 13 points and Jimmy to average numbers. Also this shows you how much important Defense is in the playoffs.  Jimmy G was a game manager out there.   Packers 0-4 Vs San Fran in the playoffs during the Aaron era.   Also Aaron is now 11-10 All Time the Playoffs.    Eagles scored 11 points on San Fran earlier in the season in a loss.   Could they be setting up a San Fran/Bengals Round III for Super Bowl?  Or Rematches with Chiefs/San Fran or Chiefs/Bucs? Could we be looking at another Home Super Bowl with LA Rams?   Brady going for the 8th?   Bills trying to get back for the first time since the 90's?   Or the Chiefs Kingdom rule again and become a Dynasty?   Well since we are out of it, If I had to choose.  I'm going with Andy and Pat.
