I like Hill more than Cine at 18. More versatile. I wouldn't mind Cine if we happened to trade down but not in the teens.

even in a trade down, we have no use for a box safety. We drafted Wallace. He was that. And he isnt working out. We need someone like Hill, or Brisker. The type who do it all.

I’ve seen Cine talked about almost exclusively as a FS. I love Brisker, but it seems the more I read about him, the more I see people say he’s better in the box than deep. The same with Hill. Pitre basically played like Honey Badger at Baylor.

It’s a weird safety class.

False.  The NFL is a passing league and nothing is stopping that.

Hurts will stop it

2 of the best ball hawks get no hype. Somehow McKinley fell extremely far down rankings. JT Woods, no one talked about at all even after a 4.3 at the combine.

Theres no doubt that Cine is more of a Box safety than Brisker and Hill.

I think for some reason most of these guys have been used in that role a lot, incuding Pitre. And theyve all shown the athleticism to project more to a bigger coverage role. But Cine has really dont very little of that, and I think Pitre as well.

A vast majority of Hill's snaps were in the slot but he's projected as a FS.

Hill finished with a team-high 739 snaps this season split between the slot (531), the box (112), free safety (63) and corner (16).

That explains why the offense scored 19 points on average in those games? So because the defense was bad, the offense just gets overlooked and is excused by you?

this all explain why the offense without garbage time td against Dallas down 41-14, a garbage td against the chiefs with 11 seconds down 19, a garbage time td down 19 points with 3 mins left vs. the raiders and scoring 15 points down 31-0 with 12 mins left in a game that was over managed to average 13 points in those games? So the 19 points they averaged was more of a mirage. So the offense because the defense was bad apparently means we just ignore the ineptitude of the offense in most of those games.

We can say the defense was bad which I’m not gonna disagree with. However their offense was not good either. If you think 19 ppg against playoff teams with the garbage time scores is good then you are delusional.

You are aware of who you are responding to, right?

Not strictly downhill Ss, as I see it in order of not using primarily downhill technique, Hill, Brisker, Hamilton, Cine, Cross, Pitre/Joseph. I think when draft prognosticators say a player is going to be a box safety, they really are reacting to a style of play that suggests nickel type coverage with downhill tendencies.  Brisker does use some downhill but he does a lot of CB style coverage too.

I have been talking about Woods as a day 3 S for some time. His ball skills are from playing center field.

Not sure if anyone posted, but profootballnetwork just had us taking Lloyd and Corral in their mock

I can't believe people are mocking a LB to us in the 1st still even after the trade. Zero chance.

Cine's ability to support in the run game from a 2-high look could be something Gannon really values.

we need safeties who can cover.

Eagles get Hamilton (yay!) then Pickett (boo!)

He isn’t going to cover slots, but he can play deep safety well.

yeah I dont care much about the slots. But I dont see Cine in deep zones much at all.

I'd take it a step further and say it's a weird DB class in general.  Outside of Hamilton and Sauce I feel like the rest of the CB and Safeties are ranked all over the place depending on where you look.  Lots of variety in scheme/play style etc seem like they make direct comparisons tricky I guess.  Really going to be interesting to see where these guys end up doing on draft day.

I've been thinking Cine and Davis could be our picks.

Cine has a nastiness, aggressiveness and physicality about him that this defense lacks so much.  I would love for him to be an Eagle.

Cine has high potential. Dax Hill too.

after that I just dont see much to get excited about

I honestly could see them drafting McDuffie. His size scares me though. With Stingley having a good pro day I see him moving definitively back into the top 10.

Maybe, but if a few QBs go high someone has to slip.

Sticking to my prediction that only one QB goes before 15
