Jar of poutine?  Never heard of that.  Maybe I am mistaken in what poutine is then.   What is poutine?

Guessing he means the gravy. It's a specialty gravy that makes it a good poutine

Jordan Davis is a transformative player on defense. Look at the Bucs' splits with/without Vita Vea. A player like Davis makes everyone better.

Transformative is maybe a stretch.  He would be a solid double of a pick.

If it was an ACL I'd be FAR less apprehensive about picking him. MUCH lower floor than Davis. You're probably right about the ceiling, but I don't want to roll those dice in R1. If he were healthy? Yeah I'd definitely take him at 15. You're also right, it is a loaded edge draft. Ideally I'd like to see days 1/2 go something like:

R1P15- Jordan Davis

R1P18- Andrew Booth

R2P35- Trade up with NYJ for 51/101 and take Arnold Ebiketie/Boye Mafe

R3P83- Alec Pierce

Wouldn't mind those picks, but crazy as this will sound i believe Gardner and Booth both get drafted before 15. I also have no DTs being picked before 21. At most 3 edge rushers going 1st round. 2 safeties, 4 WRs,3 QBs, 2 Guards, 1 LB, 3 CBs. Rest is BPA.

discussion on Davis

Thanks for that. Good discussion. One thing they also mentioned is the shift to 2 high S looks putting one less guy in the box...his presence helps that alignment a TON.

So teams are interested in Reagor?

It was the Eagles putting out the rumor that teams have called about his availability.

I said it last year, I don;t see how they can have him hit the field in Eagles green this year. he is hated so much its insane. If Howie can get anything for him, its a win. Better then them cutting him which was mentioned is a possibility.

I'm not under the impression that he's transformative as he'll be a dominating single entity (ie. Aaron Donald) so much as that he gives you a lot of flexibility to create your defensive schemes around him being a centerpiece of the DL.

So Gardner/Booth go top 14, that leaves us Stingley. I'm ok with that. And...no OT's go in R1? I'm projecting 3-4 OT in the first 14 along with 1-2 QB's, 1-2 CB's, 3-4 EDGE rushers, 1-2 WR's and Hamilton. My current first 14:

1 Jags- Hutchinson

2 Lions- Walker

3 Texans- Ekwonu

4 Jets- Gardner

5 Giants- Neal

6 Panthers- Pickett

7 Giants- Thibodeaux

8 Falcons- Wilson

9 Seahawks- Cross

10 Jets- Hamilton

11 Commanders- Willis

12 Vikings- Stingley

13 Texans- London

14 Ravens- Johnson II

That leaves these big names on the board in the mid-teen's: Jordan Davis, Andrew Booth, George Karlaftis, Devonte Wyatt, Devin Lloyd, Jameson Williams, Chris Olave, Nakobe Dean, Trent McDuffie, Tyler Linderbaum. I take Jordan Davis happily there. I don't see NO or LAC (Chargers would def take Davis if there IMO) going CB at 16 or 17, which should leave the 3rd CB prospect (Booth or Stingley) there at 18. I think the top 10 are pretty well set give or take a slot up or down...it's 11-14 which will be the determining factor.

How devastating would it be if the Bucs traded up for Davis.

I think if the Eagles really want Jordan Davis it might require a small trade-up to get in front of BAL at #14; he seems like a Ravens pick.  A small trade with HOU if he's still on the board after pick #12.

I agree. The Ravens are the team I could most see taking him ahead of the Eagles.

I thought they were spelling Poontang wrong, it fits if you look at some of the posts.

Not sure if it's just smoke but it seems like the Vikings have also become a popular place for Davis to land as well. Unfortunately it seems like our best chance at a trade up is with the Jets if that's the case. We'd probably have to overpay to move up to Washington's spot.

I'm not sure if I would laugh or cry if the Falcons didn't take an edge rusher in Round 1.  The Eagles were 31st in the NFL in sacks with 29, ahead of only ATL.

The Falcons had 18.  Talk about malpractice if they aren't drafting DL.  Of course, I said the same thing last season when they left Parsons on the board.

I bet if Johnson gets to 10, they’d trade up for him.

This is the Falcons current depth chart at WR:

They need a WR just as badly, if not moreso. There's less of a gap in EDGE talent between R1 and R2 then there is in WR talent. They could go for Mafe, Ebiketie, Hall, etc. in R2.

Definitely a possibility. And I'm ok with targeting him R1 as long as they get a DT on day 2 like Travis Jones, Matthew Butler, etc. But I don't see Howie moving up this year...believe me, I know I could be wrong.

True.  I'm not sure what WR is worth #8, though.  Hopefully London!

It'll be London or Wilson. Though I wouldn't be shocked to see them go QB. A lot of top 14 COULD go QB: Lions, Jags, Falcons, Seahawks, Redskins...even the Texans possibly (though I like Mills), not to mention trade ups from the Saints, Steelers, etc. Two going would be good for us. Three going off the board would be spectacular for us!

He does.. like Haloti Ngata.

I was just thinking the devastation Davis & Vea would cause on the d-line at the same time.

I can see Bucs drafting Travis Jones at 27
