Praying to all football gods for a 3 wish genie. I don't believe he's trash, just strictly a power rusher.  Not a true edge or gamebreaker talent.. dare i say he reminds me of a stiff barnett if thats even possible.

He's stronger and more explosive than Barnett (not saying much).  He's also more stiff and doesn't have anywhere near Barnett's bend, technique, or production.

He has a faster first step than Bar-bust. And better hand work

Hollis Thomas had a faster first step than Barnett.  OK, probably not the hamburglar.  But a huge part of the reason for Barnett's flag troubles is that he needs to jump the snap.  He lacks the athleticism to burst off the line and lacks the strength to engage an OT unless he's got them on their heels...so he really needs to force it jumping the snap.

George Karlaftis is Derek Barnett+. Him and London I want nothing at all to do with

So draft pick that plays early, starts for 4 years, but never really does anything to make the defense better...and eventually gets talked up by Howie and his crew as evidence he was a successful draft pick that beat expectations.

Should they start printing his jerseys now?

Barnett was the one player I did not want back in 2017. Karlaftis im not opposed too but would prefer a different route, I find it hard to be excited if Eagles take him. But I won’t be too disappointed

That's exactly what he'll be. I hated the Barnett pick in 2017, I hope they've learned their lesson but I'm going to assume they haven't

hopefully we stay away contrary to reports. Im prepared to eat crow or accept bets on my draft prediction a few pages ago. This is going to be one of those weird drafts that happens every 3-4 years when players go 1st round that no one saw a possibility of but NFL execs and boards looking similar. Also have alot of these 1st round picks going 2nd and 3rd round that the media has talked up. I have Karliftus going mid-late 2nd round.

Well at least they learned their lesson and didn’t do something stupid like re-sign him 2 weeks into free agency

All stats need some context, but as others here have said, George Pickens is way under-rated.  That dude is a catching machine, even on bad throws, he has the best hands in the draft, and probably the best catch radius.
My guy Burks seems to lose focus on easy catches, but he does catch passes everywhere in traffic, a ton across the middle and I know he didn’t torch the 40yd, but just watch 2-3 games that have to include Alabama, the guy plays super fast.

I’m sure someone could argue that Pickens is the best all around WR in this draft. He’s in my top 3 in terms of highest ceiling.

I did good again. But its easy when you cheat and let them give you Pierce in round 4. For those of you who dont know enough about the draft and didnt like my last one, this last pick is for you. nttawt

The more I watch Booth, the more I like him.  Can play both sides, has a natural feel for routes and is a ball hawk.  If only he wasn't' a midget.

Barnet has no technique.

I've been warming up to Karlaftis lately the more I read and watch him. He's not in the mold of Barnett, that's our fear talking.

He is best described as a prospect that is better than Kerrigan, but not as good as Nick Bosa. He lands somewhere in the middle of the two, well worth a top 20 pick.

I still would rather do a small trade up for Johnson or Thibodeaux, but Karlaftis would be a good pick.

According to Peter King, GMs have told him that there isn't a lot of interest by teams in trading up. This draft is deep into round 3/4 and teams want to stockpile/keep picks in that range.

Could make for trading up easier if its a trading up market.

Booth a midget?

I've been saying it for a while, just not sold on Karlaftis.

His get off isn't Mafe level or anything, but for his size he has one hell of a first step.

Yeah I think he's going to be a better pro than college player.

Introducing your USFL mascots.  What on Earth is the Philadelphia one?  Every other teams mascot represents their name in some capacity except this Grimmus looking thing.

Exactly what they said about Barnett.

Let’s not make the same mistake twice.

Pretty sure you are talking about Poteen or Poitin, aka Irish Moonshine.  And maybe that's what JR was referring to as well?

https://irishbuzz.com/irish-drinks/irish-liquor/poteen/

It was. The spelling varies. My mother was born in County Clare, on the west coast of Ireland. That makes me an Irish citizen. It doesn't make me an expert on the drink, but I've had my share.

With a few exceptions, every home in Ireland I have visited had a jar of poutine, poitin, potcheen. It's been a few years now but I imagine the Irish are still thirsty.

Tons of black squirrels everywhere, my dog has managed to catch a number of them. They aren't like that everywhere in the northeast?

And...just for you, in Toronto there's a celebrity squirrel. I feel it would be your symbol:

We even have a street near the park called White Squirrel Way
