Eagles are blowing a smoke screen on Corral. "Hey, someone tweet out that we love Corral."

The more QB's get selected before the Eagles draft, the higher the probability that a player they actually want drops to them.

on one hand I hope so.

On the other hand, I dont mind taking any of these guys (other than Willis) just to be rid of Hurts. Even if it means another 1st round QB is selected next year.

Nope.  They have done to much work on QB's to be a smokescreen.

Neither is likely to be an elite QB. The value on Glass is way better. Corral doesnt have any idea how to run an NFL offense, like Trubisky. He is a gimmick QB. Some natural talent, but not at all ready for a job in the NFL.

But Glass is? Corral's got the quickest release of any QB in this class, faced the toughest competition and has plenty of high evaluations from people whose opinions I trust highly like Daniel Jeremiah, Kurt Warner, etc.

One of them did this in the FCS:

and the other did this in the FBS (SEC):

You're just bored and messing with us, right? Glass never did anything like Corral's 2020 against infinitely weaker competition.

Are there any starting caliber young CB worth trading some draft picks for?  With Nelson now gone the Eagles are basically saying McPhearson, Gowan or a rookie are starting opposite Slay next year.

The Eagles apparently loved Zach Wilson last year, and passed on Fields. So, based on that, Corral seems to be their type. If I had to pick a qb who seemed to be a discount version of Wilson, Corral would be it.

If they take a 1st round QB, they all but have to trade Hurts no?

Yes. Minshew would start at first. Trade 15 and Hurts to the Seahawks for 9, 40 and their 2nd next year. Take Corral and the best available defensive player at 18. I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Glass runs more NFL style stuff with as much arm talent as anyone in the class.

That rookie on the other side will now likely be whoever the 15th pick is...  Stingley? Sauce? id be OK with that

not really. Theyll get one in round 1 or else sign someone like Peterson after the draft.

He re-upped with the Vikings.

He's playing against defenses from BumbleF University, and not even dominating the division. I mean they did have that big win against AR-Pine Bluff last year though.

Not getting Sauce in the teens. Stingley maybe, Booth more likely...who I think is a great pick.

Who the F is uStadium that knows what "some in the Eagles building” are believing.  Nice to know what the landscaper and janitor think.

Orlavsky is not as high on him:

- Doesn't always make the right read.

- Accuracy falls when he goes further in his reads.

- Misses opportunities in the passing game.

- Intriguing yet difficult to evaluate QB.

 I'm not a Willis guy. Howell to me is a R2 pick. And if we're truly comparing Corral to Glass, it's puff puff pass my friend. Don't hog all that good stuff for yourself. How many QB's ranked in the 7th or UDFA have come in and lit the NFL on fire? Go ahead, Google it. I'll wait.

Tony Romo, Kurt Warner, Warren Moon.  Not trying to yank on you or puff up Glass, just pretty easy softball you threw and I didn’t even need to use Google.

Chris Simms is very high on him:

- Arm is extremely strong.

- Quickest release he has seen in years.

- Quick feet athlete.

- Thrives on play action passes.

- Throws well on the run and off platform.

- Needs polish in the NFL.

Forgot Romo. But I mean, you're talking 3-5 guys in the history of the league.

Pretty good chance that McPhearson and Gowan are as good as Nelson was last year (not a high bar).

He's good value In the 3rd And beyond.

Probably has the best arm in the draft, and while he was a statue, who cares??? Brady, manning , Nick foles all won super bowls.

Ill take a guy with arm talent over a guy with questionable arm talent but superior athletic traits.

If eagles took him in the 3rd I'd be ok with that and think he's good value at that point.

Brady and Manning are first ballot hall of famers  ,Brady is the best to ever play the game , Foles isn’t even a average QBS . Dilfer won a Super Bowl too .

What was so bad about Nelson last year?

BS. White and Reddick is a veteran backbone at LB.

I am not talking about future needs. This was about if it is possible we field a top defense this year. And it’s possible Cox and Hargrave have a really good year.

Slay played phenomenal. Don’t see why he would fall off a cliff. It’s possible but it certainly isn’t certain this year.

Reddick isn't a traditional LB he's a pass rusher.

White had a bunch of tackles on a bad defense and is built like a safety and to date is unproven in Gannon's system.

Cox is being asked to be a run stuffer and he's paid to be a game wrecker, he's no longer a game wrecker and he has little desire to be a run stuffer.

Gannon should have a few more pieces to work with this year on D, currently they have nothing at safety, other than slay nothing proven at corner, at LB they have a group of guys with lots of questions. I'm not counting Reddick as a LB he's a 5 front blitzer.

On the DL Cox already said, hargrave is the best of the DTs, Milton Williams if he takes expected leap could be good, Sweat isn't more than a situational pass rusher , graham is 34 and coming off a major injury so don't expect much from him then theres who ever they draft which who knows🤷‍♂️

This defense needs help everywhere, hoping cox plays well isn't really a much to pin ones hopes on.

He is a big part of the reason QB's completed 70% of their passes against us last year, and why multiple QB's completed 80% in games against us.

Normally I'd say I'm okay with them taking a QB if they love one but 2023 is supposed to be a lot better. How do you justify taking one in 2022 and then in 2023. Or maybe we miss out on one in 2023

It would be absolutely hilarious if we do take a QB in the first round just because of the Hurts fans though. That would be an entertaining meltdown

The exact note from uStadium:

🏈 Don’t sleep on Ole Miss QB Matt Corral to Philly. At some point in the draft. There are some in that building who think he’s hands-down QB1 in the draft. Others like Kenny Pickett.
