I don't know that the statement they believe Corral is the best QB in the draft is wrong.  It doesn't mean they are taking him.  I think the problem is if Sirianni really wants someone besides Hurts.  I can see him pushing Howie to pick him.

Sirianni inherited Hurts, and most head coaches who are hired from the OC ranks will want their own QB to groom and develop if it's their job on the line.  It would be interesting to know how Sirianni evaluated Hurts during the 2020 pre-draft process; Colts were the team that drafted Jacob Eason at #122 in the draft -- I believe the next QB off the board after Hurts.

We know Hurts was over-drafted in the 2nd round.  The question would be whether Nick and Frank would have had any interest in him as a 3rd round pick.
