It's totally something this regime would do too. I'm hoping it's smokescreen but I don't trust this front office whatsoever.

Aren’t they due to draft one? Even a late 5th or 6th round would make sense.  With all the teams having two 1st round picks next year plus the Bears having another year with Fields, same for Wilson and the Jets, there may be 8-10 teams that want a QB next season and 6-7 of them will likely finish worse than the Eagles.

The committee has come out with the seedings for each region of the 2022 EMB Racist bracket. Got some good matchups

Yeah, and without a HOF pass rusher to boot. It's been mostly a sack by committee effort for the past 2 decades.

I have no issue with sack by committee. I have an issue of what they paid Cox and Barnett per sack last year.  I recognize how poor the back seven played (well six, I won’t count Slay in that) and how it may have limited what Gannon wanted to do (hence, for example, replacing Avery with Reddick and Singleton with White), but he has to get to the QB this season. I kind of like what Joe Douglas said that the best way to stop these high paid QBs and receivers is to knock the QB on his butt

The QB from South Dakota who reportedly met with the Eagles today:

Oh wow. a fade away throw. Looks great!

Hamilton and Booth would be a pipedream scenario that doesnt seem all that out of the question right now. Will have to settle for a 2nd round DE though. Kinda sucks not to have that other 1st round pick.

I would never need to watch a single special teams snap to draft a punter. His teammate has such a strong sales pitch. This is the guy I want for our next punter, in whichever draft he enters. Ill wait for him. Barney knows the proper calculations!

Facebook video wont embed. Pretty funny clip of PSU teammate talking up his punter.

I think we do but we will find out for sure this year.  Regardless the offense has plenty of young cornerstone players throughout it.  Which is a direct opposite of what we see in the offensive side of the ball.

But for those of you here to suggest if the Eagles win the Super Bowl this upcoming season or the following with Hurts that you wouldn't re-sign him because they would have won in spite of him is silly because of they win the Super Bowl it will be, among other reasons, that Hurts took a substantial step forward. This defense is going to suddenly turn into the 2000 Ravens overnight because of the addition of Reddick.  There is potential upside in place on offense.  There really isn't any on defense at this stage.

No.

And I see that Hurts isn't going to suddenly turn into a viable playoff QB overnight either.  I do not see potential upside on offense with him under center.

For you Alec Pierce fans.

Ignore that the ESP part

Boy, the Flyers are hard to watch.

Did Roseman consult with them on roster building?

I cant for the life of me figure out why TDN has downgraded him to the 4th round in their simulator.

I'd bet a 1/4 of those are from gang green.😉

What century are we in?

So I watched some JT Woods. With his length and speed, I’m surprised he’s not more well regarded. I’d love to add him in round 4 or 5, ideally as the second S we draft.

and I should add, we need to draft his hype man as well. They should go together. Package deal.

I really, really like Jameson Williams. However, taking a WR with a torn ACL in the top 10 is very risky...especially when he's a similar-level prospect to Olave, Wilson and London.

Take away the ACL, and he’d probably be the consensus WR1. His speed and polish is different.

The ball hawk safeties are few in every draft. Lots of teams have adopted the STAR position, or whatever else teams call it. Its fairly common these days to find players who can cover in man, solid range in the back half, and come in to the box effectively. But its still uncommon to find a guy who is so instinctual in coverage, and has the ball skills to come away with a ton of INTs.

Its unfortunate McKinley ran a slow 40 but, he is one of few. As is JT Woods. Id gamble on that their skillsets all the time.

I see Woods knocked for his size, but being skinny isn’t the end of the world. He can fill out more in the pros. I saw that he doesn’t work the best when he has to move backward at the snap. That’s fine too, if he’s the primary guy coming downhill at the snap.

I think he’s a great bet in the mid rounds.

I agree with you, but that makes him a risky prospect. Linderbaum with 15 more lbs, Nakobe Dean with a bit more athleticism, Thibodeaux without the "effort' issues, etc. Most prospects have something.

I think ACLs are pretty straight forward. They should know by now if there were any issues with the repair. He might not be his best Week 1, but he should have an impactful second half of 2022.

I cannot believe if they really had their eye on a QB in this draft that they would have made that trade with the saints.

I couldn't believe they took Reagor over Jefferson.   They do stupid stuff when it comes to the draft.

Yeah, but trading draft capital in a draft where you covet a QB for future would be even dumber than dumb.

Okay but to you the alternative in this hypothetical scenario is more likely to you that if the Eagles win a Super Bowl next year it will be because they have a historically great dominants defense?

Eagles aren't going to win the Super Bowl next year but if they were to then the most likely scenario where that occurs is that Howie hits on all the little free agent moves like in 2017, a number of the young players take very big leaps this year and Jalen Hurts himself takes a large leap forward and they have a ton of luck throughout the year with the ball bouncing their way on oddball plays.

Is it me or is there about 30 players that are going in the top 10 now?
