Yup, most of TATE have ben drafting Araiza in the 7th in their mocks and I think it's more realistic he goes before the 7th.

4th might seem a bit high but he wouldn't be the first punter to go that high.

Eagles really need a punter and he's the best one in a while.

Yeah he's gonna go higher than he does in a lot of mocks. I don't love him in the 4th, but I'm also commenting on the draft as a whole. Lots of guys I like in that one.

Doesn't matter who Howie picks, there will be ****in' galore.

But it'll be hard to not improve this team with the picks they'll have, spread around the draft they can target a lot of different players.

If the punter is good enough, I have no problem taking him in the 4th rd, a top punter is probably worth 500+ net yards over the course of the season, so who you pickin' in the 4th round who'll have that kind of impact?

I'd much rather use the pick on a RB for instance, who may contribute far more than a punter. I mean really, a punter in the 4th round? For this team? C'mon man

He also battled weight issues at Arkansas.

For a while I felt like he was destined to be an eagle but I've changed my mind.  And really badly to see their interest in Pickens. Would really like to see them show major interest in Pierce too.

That's pretty decent.

Wow.  No, the picks themselves don't mean a thing about improving the team.  To improve the team with picks, it requires picking the right players.  Throwing numbers at the problem doesn't 'fix it'.  Eagles selecting Reagor, Hightower and Watkins didn't fix the WR problem because they drafted 3 WRs.  In fact, it has barely changed the issue, and even now, people are discussing the merits of drafting a WR coming off an ACL injury at #15.  Tells you everything you need to know about the connection between having a lot of picks and improving the team.

Afan is expecting a lot of punts for next year, I guess.

It does go hand in hand with Hurts being the QB

I'd be very happy with this.

No safety until R7, a punter in the 4th, no CB until R5 (although I like Emerson). I wouldn’t hate it but wouldn’t love it.

Yep. Pork BBQ.  Fried chicken.  Biscuits. You know, the healthy stuff.  A lot of southern food is fantastic.  Collards...done right...oh yeah.

We're moving towards the ocean in a few years.  Then it's the seafood.  Shrimp is awesome.  One of the towns we're interested in, is Calabash NC.  Known for it's seafood.

My mom is from Newfoundland...her family there are lobster fishermen....whenever they come to visit they bring fresh lobster with them, and it's unbelievably good. I think seafood is likely my favorite type of cuisine.

Not to mention a Pac 12 WR and a 2 down DT in the 1st?    Yeah....no thanks.

Oh yeah. That too. Yuck.

I'm from Cape May originally.  My grandfather founded a fisheries there.  He's since passed, but it's still running. They fish Atlantic, Portugal and have a building in Oxnard CA.   It's not run by anyone in the family...but kept the name.  So when I go back to visit, I am able to get fresh seafood right off the boat.  No charge.  Scallops right off the boat is the best.  I grew up eating flounder a couple nights a week.

Fresh seafood is just a different level really. When I go back country camping, if I can catch a trout for dinner I'm in heaven.

Only two more weeks to go.

How many Howie's today boys?  Chiefs moved up for Jameson Williams and Detroit for Willis.

My mother was from Newfoundland.

I'm putting Winfrey ahead of Wyatt. I like Wyatt but I think Winfreys length gives us a different ingredient for the interior. He seems to be the forgotten DT in this draft with Georgia's flashiness.

That’s somewhat near Myrtle right? I have a cousin in Whiteville and when I visited years ago he brought me to a beach between Myrtle and Wilmington. I remember a fantastic Oyster restaurant.

I really want a a safety but unfortunately with safety I see a big drop off after the Brisker/Pitre/Cine group which may be gone by 51. If they are then I'm fine waiting for a late round dart throw and paying a vet like Honey Badger.

I'm also a huge Quay Walker fan. White/Edwards/Walker/Reddick would be a helluva upgrade for is next year.

If we were actual contenders with a few holes to fill, sure, you could talk me into a punter in the 5th-6th round. For as many holes as this team has, taking a punter in any round is malpractice. You can find UDFAs easily enough.

Sometimes you can and sometime one can't, if it were as easy as it sounds eagles would have had better than syposs last year.

Guess it depends how much one values special teams?

The eagles special teams other than Elliot was awful.

Their punting and punt coverage were awful as well.

Having a punter who can change field position is an asset.

Last year the eagles were almost dead last in punt net ave at I believe 31st and around last in the league in opposing starting field position

That's not just in the punt team but is a part of it.

I'd have zero problem getting a potential all pro punter in the 4th instead of some back up scrub that will most likely be out of the league in 3 years .

Nick Cross and the dude from Cincinnati are solid R3 options

2 long weeks ahead
