Let's see how they look in the NFL, I mean how did Darnold, D Jones, et al get drafted in the top 10? Must have looked good throwing against air and on film against CBs who run 4.7.

Lawrence was a "can't miss," then put up one of the worst seasons ever for a rookie QB, same with Wilson.

I'll use a 2nd rd pick on any QB who can finish in the top 20 among NFL QBs, sure have been a lot of 1st rd picks used on QBs with good arms who were quickly demoted to splinter duty.

For a smart guy, this is some nonsense. I don’t even know where to begin. But yeah, no one is successful evaluating QBs. Very few succeed. You can find examples of "highly rated” QBs who failed and ones who succeeded. That doesn’t change the fact you need someone who can throw the football.

You could use Brady/Russell Wilson as an example and say "look at all these teams using 1st round picks. Brady/Wilson were drafted in the third round or later. Nick Foles won us a SuperBowl. You should never draft a QB before the third round.”

or "Look at the best QBs in the AFC. Joe Burrow and Josh Allen were high picks. If you want a good QB, you need to move up, period.”

The Logic you’re using could go a million different ways, because there’s obviously no formula for drafting QBs and 99% of them fail no matter where they are drafted.

Jalen Hurts isn’t a top 20 QB. He produces top twenty total yards by over-using his legs, until he plays real teams whose coaches say "he can’t read” and take away the run game and easy throws and he can’t move the football. It doesn’t matter where he or anyone else was drafted. Those facts don’t change

If anyone knows that Lord Brunson guy he is the biggest Hurts Hugger of them all. Stumbled on his channel a while back. He also will insinuate that you’re racist if you don’t like Hurts. He is King Hurts Hugger and Professor Race Baitor.

The race baiting took place on Twitter for awhile until most of the huggers realized fans wanted Watson or Wilson to replace Hurts.

Yup. Idk I've tried responding to the guy with reasonable evidence but he's too far gone. Its just fascination of a mobile highlight QB imo. Damnit its getting old, there's alot of QBs in the past 4 yrs u could argue they weren't completely horrible and have faded away. Yet ppl want to die on this hill.

The most ignorant unknowledgeable Eagles fans can be found here in the blog and you're a perfect example of it.  It's a like a mirror image of sports radio callers.

Yeah you’re definitely not real.

Local visit.  Won’t count against the 30.

Counting on Hurts is like counting on a Lotto ticket for your retirement income.  I mean sure it's theoretically possible but it's a really really dumb plan

Interesting.  Good trade up opportunities for CBs or could let Hamilton/Davis fall into lap

I agree with his analysis, and the Eagles will not have to move up for Corral or Pickett if they choose to take a QB in the 1st.

Shocked to see Olave going before Williams/Wilson. Interesting.

Olave's route running is really good. I get why a team would take him early.  It's a weird WR class.

He’s not a good blocker at all from what I’ve read. Also heard his routes need work though he is very smooth & fluid. I would take Jameson or Wilson first personally (not that they give a ton in the blocking department, that was a random side note). But then again it’s all up in the air. This draft is going to be wild. No one seems to have a consensus on these players.

Limitations and eagles first round pick go together like peanut butter and jelly.

They really do unfortunately. I do think for the Eagles this is going to be a draft to add foundational solid pieces and perhaps not those blue-chip players but we shall see.

In that scenario, I reckon Howie trades up to 13 for Jordan Davis

If Hamilton and Davis are there, give me Hamilton. Both have mild concerns but I’ll take Hamilton 10/10 times as he is a generational type safety talent.

I'm just saying it is what Howie would do

He created and sold a bunch of  "Hurts SZN" hats & t-shirts so he has to live and die with Hurts to keep the merch selling lol.

I'd say the WRs in particular. I've said it before but basically I wouldn't be shocked to see Olave, Wilson, Williams, Burks and London go in any particular order. Very different players.

A reminder, this is the guy who said the Eagles season was over the second Carson Wentz tore his ACL, the Eagles went on to win the Super Bowl.

Everybody did. Don‘t even try to say you thought: Ah well Wentz is hurt, no problem.

This is also the same guy who said Ruben Randle was the second best WR on the roster the moment he signed with the Eagles.  Not only was he a camp body who was part of the first round of cuts, he never played another regular season snap in the NFL.

RTK calling anyone ignorant or unknowledgeable is hilarious.

Ruben who? 😅

I wish. Still am scared it‘s going to be Karlaftis. He‘s a true Eagles pick for all the wrong reasons..

Karlaftis is gone before we pick crzy as it seems so no worries.

Wentz helped secure the #1 seed at a point in time where most Super Bowl teams were coming from the #1 or 2 position.  I kept saying how great it was that pundits were sleeping on the #1 seed and how it would work in the Eagles favor.  Every game the Vegas odds kept giving away money by making the home Eagles a betting underdog.

I can’t say my faith wasn’t tested when the Falcons had first-and-goal with the clock under a minute left, but the defense held its goal line.  There wasn’t one playoff game that I didn’t go in extremely confident.

I knew roster-for-roster the Eagles were 13-17 points better than New England going into the Super Bowl.  I picked the Eagles by 9 and knew the only risks were officiating and cheating, and the Eagles underperforming.  Fortunately for all of us that was a day where the better team won.
