We have Anthony Harris.

How could I forget?  We also have the K'Vonn Wallace who's twitter game has a lot more bite than his actual game.  If he was as good he talks about himself that would be a great thing.

Anyone care to elaborate why this board isnt high on mcduffie?

To summarize Sydney Jones, Pac12 anti bias, short arms.

All I have heard though from scouts, draft experts is great about his work ethic, leadership skills and good technique

First play of the USFL is a better catch than any Eagles WR has made in the last decade.

Buddy took a hit on the TD but still entertaining from the start.

People are scared of the Pac-12.

Frankly it should be less about the conference and more about how the Eagles are scouting the conference. There’s a bunch of good and even great pac 12 players (not SEC like but it’s not awful like JJAW has been here) in the nfl. Herbert, aiyuk, Buckner, Armstead, Cameron Jordan, poyer, gronkowski, Alex Mack, Keenan Allen, Aaron Rodgers, bakhtiari, dalton schultz, mccaffrey, Brandin cooks and a lot more. This comes down to you have to scout that conference better than it is the conference just being absolutely terrible. Obviously they aren’t the SEC in terms of talent but there’s talent there. The eagles have recently done a bad job of scouting the conference and taking a risk on a corner coming off a Achilles injury.

He looks a lot bigger, no?

thank you seriously as i was too lazy to type this but this is why i asked the question. The pac 12 isnt trash at producing talent. Im sure all 32 teams wish they could only draft top tier SEC players for 7 rounds.

SEC is head and shoulders better than the pac 12 and every conference in terms of talent. And everyone knows it and also wants those guys. However the pac 12 has talented players to be had. We’ve just done a poor job since 2014 scouting the conference. After we selected ertz and poyer in 2013 (poyer we didn’t move him to safety he did that elsewhere) we’ve gone downhill. the only impactful pac 12 player we’ve drafted and developed was seumalo. There’s been plenty of good talent entering the league from the pac 12 since 2014.

The issue imo is the eagles lackluster ability to identify and scout the players in the conference. It also doesn’t help when you draft someone like Andre Dillard who was falling and then At the press conference say well we didn’t really expect him to be there so we didn’t scout him as much as we should’ve.

Thats why

Alex McGough pushing Jalen Hurts with his USFL swag.  Long hair, full sleeve tattoo with one full arm sleeve, visor, high white socks.  Bring him in!

Oh, and TWO gloves.

Panthers trade for Mayfield, they probably move out of 6

What a joke of a franchise.

I blame our PAC 12 scouts.

As for the last line... That was a fireable admission.  You have to scout ALL projected first round picks deeply, just in case someone falls unexpectedly, so that you can figure out why and whether or not to pass as well, or to pull the trigger and take advantage.  Just no excuse for not scouting that more carefully.

It’s Howie. He stays up to watch the PAC12 games when everyone else goes to sleep!

I 100% agree with you. Even if that was the case why the hell are you saying it at a press conference. It just doesn’t make you look good at all

Mayfield hasn’t played well enough through 4 years to warrant an extension, and it’s quite troubling there haven’t been any players come out and defend him — leads me to believe he’s the second coming of Jay Cutler — but he is a better QB than Darnold.

A Day 3 pick and getting the Browns to keep much of his salary would be an adequate gamble.  Trade back from #6 and acquire more capital.  Who knows, there may still be a QB they like later on that’s still on the board wherever they pick.  None of these QB prospects should be starting in their first year, anyway

The ultimate kiss of death for second year players. The ol’ ten pounds of muscle trick

took the best player available and this is how it turned out......

We have Anthony Harris.

Exactly Harris is on a low contract. If he was 3rd safety and Mathieu and Hamilton were your starters that would actually be a good thing

Not really when you compare to that last pick from last year.  About the same, maybe a little bigger.

Nah.  Harris is a stud.  We need him on the field.
