As someone mentioned earlier, with Davis it’s not about his individual impact. It’s about how helps others around him affect the game. He can stand up double teams, he can push the center into his own backfield to give teammates clean shots at the ball carrier.

I personally don’t let be spending a 1 on that kind of player, but his athleticism suggests there’s some potential to become a decent pass rusher.

Since we play a 5-2 and possibly want to play mostly with two deep safeties, you need impact run defenders up the middle.

I wouldn’t be big on taking him either but his combine shows there’s more potential to him than just being a 2 down run defender. If Eagles can get Jones in the 2nd though I’m ok with skipping out on Davis in the first. But I think Jones won’t get past the Jets at top of 2nd round, so I’m very for Davis at 15 or 18

Yeah, I’d be pretty indifferent to Davis in round 1. I wouldn’t be excited, but I wouldn’t hate it. I get the logic.

I would hate Wyatt.

Yeah after seeing Wyatt’s age and off the field things, I wouldn’t like that pick at all.

Davis requires at least two to block and can single-handedly collapse the pocket.

If your DC and pass rushers can't take advantage of that, the fault doesn't lie with him or his skillset.

Completely agree. He will make an impact in that 5-2 playing over a C. Gonna walk his ass back into the QB’s lap.

So Davis at 15, and one of Hill/Booth/Cine at 18, then one of Muma/Harris/Pitre at 51.

How would you guys feel about that?

I hear ya... Let's go Marquan Mccall from Kentucky.

Good but rather a DE than Davis

Jordan Davis will be drafted by Baltimore and dominate

He won’t be out there on passing downs  , so no pushing anyone anywhere , run stopper  until he learns to pressure the QB  , you kick a pass rusher inside on passing downs

We will be stuck with McDuffie snoozefest

Fair. This is with the idea of Jermaine not there at 15 also.

If ojabo is there at 51, I’m all for that being the pick. Even if there’s a double dip at DE in 1st rd + Ojabo at 51

Edit: To clarify, one DE in 1st + Ojabo at 51. Not 2 DE in 1st + Ojabo at 51

It goes both ways while Davis helped his teammates , his talented teammates helped him , heck GA best defensive player isn’t in the draft

Would rather WR with one of the 1st.

I’d be content with Wilson/Williams/Burks but I’d rather look at day 2 for WR

I mentioned Eric Johnson as a player I think will be a steal day 3 , Curtis Brooks is another

Good work

There was a year when Hankins was almost the exact same prospect as Davis. Not quite the monsterish combine. But he was a real big DT who everyone started out saying wasnt going to be a 3 down player, couldnt rush the passer. Then people realized, he could really push the pocket with some pretty damn good explosion off the line, and strength.

Theres a difference between a big fat guy who cant move but just eats up blocks like a Vince Wilfork, and a guy like Hankins and Jordan Davis who can collapse the pocket with a quick first step and an unstoppable bull rush. Just because the guy doesnt have pass rush moves doesnt mean he cant rush the passer.

And with Jordan Davis' athleticism, theres a chance he can develop some rush moves. What happens if he ends up with a spin move?

There's likely to not be one at 15 unless if we reach for Ebiketie or Mafe.

If that was the case I'd prefer Davis/Booth, go DE (Thomas) or WR (Pickens) in the 2nd if they're there and then Cross to fill S at 83.

I know , but it doesn’t hurt him  , he is so smooth , and he has some of the tightest coverage in the draft  . Some team will get a rd 2 steal . Probably end up in Tampa , they love Auburn CBs , both starters Davis and Dean are from Auburn

TRex arms with those instincts puts him at Safety

Well Trevor Lawrence wasn't a top 10-15 QB.

Yet, but big difference being #1 overall qb

He won’t play S , he is a CB and a good one
