I'm surprised the Tyrann Mathieu signing hasn't been announced.   Thought he was a lock to ring the bell at the Sixers game tonight.

He didn't specify the series, or year, of Game 2

By the way, the Athletic just came out with us moving up to 10 to take Stingley Jr.

Then at 15 Taking Olave

Just took Garrett Wilson at #18(our pick)

Mock drafts are silly. How many get even 10 1st rd picks right?

Mock draft board would be more informative, which players seem to be good fits for which teams and what tiers would you put those players in.

I think a good draft board only has 100-150 players, the ones who you think might start for you someday.

So what do the Eagles do with picks 154, 162, 166 and 237.  Just throw darts at the board ??

Who am I kidding, that is what they will do 15, 18, 51, 83, 101 and 124.

Chad Reuter has the Eagles trading up to #10 for Davis for a 3rd and 5th, drafting Hamilton at #18 and Christian Watson at #51.

I like the players but I don't know if it worth trading that much for Davis.  What do you guys think?

Don't like trading up for Davis. Would take a DE there, or maybe Stingley.

I actually think Davis if he’s there at 15 is going to be the pick or if they are capable of moving up a couple slots to secure him that he’d be the guy they target. Based off his athleticism and comps to ngata/vea i think he’s the type of guy the eagles believe  can become better at rushing the passer with his athleticism and more coaching in the pros and he’s an great run defender.

Not sure I agree with the reasoning, though I'm don't think that he'd play that card.

1 - The QB market seems to be reset every offseason.

2 - At his current level, he's a hop skip and a jump from being a "Pro Bowler", and as we've just seen, that means something to some people.  And, you know his agent would be trying to leverage that.  Kyler Murray shouldn't be paid $30M+ but he's been a Pro Bowler, so... he's pushing for that.

3 - This is where we agree.  He will likely want an extension and raise, but I don't think he'd go public with it or sit out OTA's, etc.

And a twirl in a clean pocket ...😁

The biggest "hunch" I have right now is the Eagles drafting Treylon Burks at #18.

Agreed. I don't like trading up for Davis. I think he's overrated, but if he falls to 15, I'm OK with it. But not at all interested in trading up.

I like the players but it seems off. If we trade into the Top 10 I'd think it'd be for either a DE or Sauce. I highly doubt Hamilton makes it to 18 and in this mock, they have Elam and Thomas going after ours (in the 2nd round) which both seem like better picks to me. Watson still worries me because of his drop issues.

Yeah, Stingley would be on the board in this scenario.  Johnson goes at #13.  Would rather trade #101 to move up to #13 him than #83 and a 5th for Davis

He won’t be out there on passing downs  , so no pushing anyone anywhere , run stopper  until he learns to pressure the QB  , you kick a pass rusher inside on passing downs

I’m pretty sure every down is a passing down in today’s NFL.  It’s sort of out-dated terminology

WR with #39 is gross

It’s an early estimate on the amount of drops he has in TC.

Tyrod Taylor and Hurts are eerily similar players, on an eerily similar trajectory so far.

Interesting. How did you come to this conclusion?

I believe if he’s there at 15 (unless somebody unexpectedly falls) that he would be the guy i think they take. If this was a Jim Schwartz type defense still then I don’t think the Eagles would be gravitating towards him as much. However with this system, I think they view him as being able to potentially be like a Vea /Ngata but with his athleticism (RAS score is pretty amazing) I’m guessing they believe they might be able to get more pass rushing out of him then he showed at Georgia. I usually don’t suggest listening to BGN but kempski and BLG actually made really good points in the latest podcast pertaining to Davis and why they think the eagles would be intrigued enough to go after him.

Davis is certainly a bit of a risk , but man could he be an impact player if he pans out. Really want him.

Depends on team , every down against Tampa is a passing down , because you can’t run on them  , 3 rd and long , Davis wont be out there

I think it's a pretty safe pick as well. We already know that he'll be a good two gap DT as his floor but he also has the potential to pass rush based on his athleticism. If you whiff on a one gap DT because their pass rushing doesn't translate to the NFL well then you're really unhappy.

Don’t disagree. I also think if there was a pass rusher worthy of moving up 2-5 spots for they’d likely choose that but i have a feeling there’s not going to be. I also tend to believe the eagles if they covet a player they believe is gonna go 9-14 they’d move up to secure him by giving up a 3rd like they did with Smith. Then use their other first to likely trade back to potentially recover their 3rd rounder they gave up.

Teams eliminate a lot of players from their board, character, injuries, bad fit for your schemes, etc. Others get demoted to lower tiers.

By the time you get to pick #200, a good board will still have 30-40 players left.

Good example is OL, I'm sure they go over players with Stoutland, if he thinks the player isn't a good fit period, or doesn't seem to be coachable, he's off the board no matter how the amateurs rank him.
