Tyrod Taylor and Hurts are eerily similar players, on an eerily similar trajectory so far.

There is nothing at all similar about their trajectory.  Tyrod didn't start until he was 5 years into his career at 26 years old.  Tyrod then took a step back the second season he saw significant playing instead of improving from the year prior.

There is nothing at all similar about their trajectory.  But they are both black so maybe that's what you meant.

Shareef Miller apparently in the USFL. One of the biggest wastes of space in recent Eagles history. Hopeless from the very beginning, sloppy body, horrible attitude (at least publicly).

Like the first 2 but we need CB/S to be addressed before LB/T

Ojabo will drop way farther than that. An achilles injury is probably the worst injury you can have.

I think a good draft board only has 100-150 players, the ones who you think might start for you someday.

🤦‍♂️

And this is false.  It is the majority here that are ready to move on from Hurts

If Hurts was expected to be the primary back up and played a Taysom Hill role with the Eagles, people would be OK with him.

The biggest "hunch" I have right now is the Eagles drafting Treylon Burks at #18.

I felt like that for quite a while but have since changed my mind.

Yeah, Stingley would be on the board in this scenario.  Johnson goes at #13.  Would rather trade #101 to move up to #13 him than #83 and a 5th for Davis

I would take Johnson in that scenario.

Love those first 3 picks then.

Mock drafts with trades in them are such bull ish.

Pickens>Burks

Plus, if you want Burks you get the same exact player in Ezukanma later.

Teams eliminate a lot of players from their board, character, injuries, bad fit for your schemes, etc. Others get demoted to lower tiers.

By the time you get to pick #200, a good board will still have 30-40 players left.

Good example is OL, I'm sure they go over players with Stoutland, if he thinks the player isn't a good fit period, or doesn't seem to be coachable, he's off the board no matter how the amateurs rank him.

The Pats had a year where their draft board was well under 100 players. I want to say it was around 50.

Interesting. How did you come to this conclusion?

2017 28 BUF QB 5 15 14 84 427 4 28 32 5.1 28.5 5.6

These are Tyrod Taylor's numbers in his 3 seasons as Bills starting QB.  The top 3 rows are his passing stats, followed below by his rushing stats.  Team record of 22-20 over those 3 seasons.  His ceiling for passing yards, passing TDs and alternate Pro Bowl nod were all reached in his first season -- with very little or no development afterward over the following two seasons.  Note his rushing stats of 5.5 yards per carry in his first season, which averaged out to about the same over the 3 seasons in total.

Average of 17 passing TDs per season over the 3 seasons.  Didn't throw a lot of picks, but wasn't prolific either in yards or TDs.  Fumbled the football 9 times in his first season as starting QB.  Never developed accuracy as a passer -- actually dropped after his first full season.

I don't mind them. Mock draft where there's zero trades are never going to be accurate anyway, especially with the craziness of this one there's bound to be trades. Two teams with two Top 10 picks, six teams with two first round picks and no real consensus top QB picks.

There is a massive difference between the two QBs career trajectories. You have one that started games as a rookie and then took over his second year. You have another who did not start until year 5 of his career.

That makes a huge difference.

Guys we get it, mock drafts aren't really accurate. Analysts do them to get clicks and fans read/do them to feel involved in the process and kill time.

Let people enjoy things.

The best thing that can happen for us this draft is for the Lions to take a QB at #2 and cause an early run on them.

They're the same height, almost the same weight, same lack of arm strength, Taylor still has his own website for self-promotion ....

If Rod Serling were still alive he'd be working on the episode as we speak ....
