McDuffie would be underwhelming at 15

Zero chance the 49ers trade him to the Packers.

Agreed.  Either an AFC team, or and NFC team they do not consider a threat.  NFC team not a threat, Howie Roseman come on down.

Can't take anything seriously that has LB as the 3rd most likely pick. Also, I'd be very surprised at this point if they had McDuffie rated higher than Stingley after his pro day.

Your mom

Never heard of that.  How about homemade smoked beer can chicken tacos this past friday brah

Your obsession with me is creepy

Deebo: "I'll come there, but I have to be the first read on every play. After that...well....nobody gets a look."

Howie: "Pfft, you have to remember he's cheap and we have too many other issues to replace him."

Deebo: "Sounds promising...for someone else."

My guess is the Jets

If this offense is going to continue to build on what we saw last season and remain run-oriented, then it makes more sense to go after a guy like McCaffrey instead of Samuel. I'm aware of the injury issues but depending on the comp I'd rather them make that move than Deebo. If Sanders is included in the trade, then this offense with CMC, Gainwell, Goedert, DeVonta, and another receiver is pretty good.

CMC is about to fall apart

That was more of a "best fit" thing

They need a nice weapon after losing Adams and he'd fill the role pretty well

Zach Wilson will blow up with Deebo.  Much better QB than Jimmy G.

The Eagles rookie receiving record is now 916 yards in 17 games.

Look at this list, his rookie season does not even compare.  25 rookies have had a 1,000 yard season.

I mean, Mike Ditka had 1,076 yards in 14 games in 1961.  You wanna set a record, make it impressive.

Your issue should be with Hurts and how the offense was run, not with Smith. I don't know how anyone who watched the games last season can have an issue with how Smith played his rookie season.

This is probably why @olsilverhair always wanted to snuggle with his aunt when he was a kid.

Smith played fine and will get better. He is a #2 on a good team or a #1 on a bad team.

yeah i dont have an issue with smith. i think sometimes the prior misses at WR pile up on some fans. not saying smith lit the league up, but under the circumstances i think he had a really nice rookie season.

You should educate yourself a little: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2022/05/social-media-democracy-trust-babel/629369/

How we are behaving toward each other on social media is having more widespread and negative effects than you might be aware of.  BTW, a snowflake isn't a person who stands up for someone else as in the case of commenting on the bullying that takes place on this board toward RTK. So his opinions are off and he is consistently all or nothing in this thinking. So what. If it is annoying, just put him on ignore. We don't have to paint a scarlet letter on him everyday.

I don't have an issue with Smith, but pumping him up for the franchise rookie receiving record is a little ridiculous.   He would need 2000 plus yards next year to match JJ's two year total.

He would need 1000 yards this year to match TO's two year total in Philly, and he only played 21 games.

I think the way of the NFL will lead defenses to stop the run with 4-5 guys. Howie talked about the LBs being able to play the pass whether it was rushing, blitzing, or route matching. When you watch Brett Kollman talk about Nakobe Dean you see how Georgia played the run with the DL and left maybe 1 LB to help.

To play this way requires DL like Logan Hall, Paschal, Jordan Davis, and Travon Walker.

When you also look at the versatility of Hall, in addition to his ability, I dont think any team would be wrong to take him in round 1.

Yeah, lets all feel sorry for the guy who was banned from the previous board for bad mouthing the Eagles only Super Bowl winning QB.

RTK brings everything he gets on himself.

Yep.  He’s not a true #1.

Which is my entire point. How can you call the draft class amazing when Howie used a top 10 pick on a guy that might not be a true #1?

Smith is and can be a good player. He can get better. But if his career pans out to be not a true #1 guy, that’s not a good investment for the resources used.

It’s an indictment on Howie, not Smith.

I'm a believer that Smith would look a lot better with a better passer. There were so many times when he was open and Hurts didn't pull the trigger

I watched a lot of that breakingthebirds breakdowns and even he was getting annoyed with it

Fair.

He did pass on need last year. A lot of angry people that the Eagles went BPA with Dickerson (OG) and Williams (DT) over positions of need like LB, S, CB. There were lots of people upset we passed on Samuel and Moehrig.

Did he?  WR was still very much a need, they traded up, after trading down to get their WR.  OL was still a need... as we clearly saw last year.   DT/DE was a need as well, especially with as much 4i as Gannon implemented.

I'd argue that WR is still a bit of a need, given as much discussion as we've seen about adding another WR in Round 1 for a 3rd year in a row.

You are inferring that it is about being sorry for him. It's not. It's about simple civility and how we actually interact in person vs. in this space. How entitled to judging others does someone have to be to say that another person "brings everything on himself?" Just ignore the kid. Over the years it is pretty obvious that he has real issues. You have people in your family with teh same types of issues who you would defend in a second if they were treated how he gets treated. Why is it necessary to continually personalize it and try and continually work to humiliate him? Is it going to make the board better by driving him off it? My opinion is that the board would be better if you, 4for4, Texas, and other people who feel entitled to address people in a manner that would never be tolerated in person, grew up a bit and didn't use the space to prove how "right" you are all the time. Just an opinion.

one you can feel free to keep to yourself. not everyone is valuable. in fact many are net negative. like RTK.

Yup. People are really slow to react to positive Howie moves. Last year’s draft looks really good, and that was without forcing the issue.

WR was a need.  OL was a need.  DT/DE was a need.

Howie had a good draft... but he did go with some significant needs... but actually found some players at those positions this time.
