Unless if a DE drops there isn't really one of great value at our picks. It's a deep draft at DE and WR so there's no real reason in trying to force either in the 1st round. I like Cameron Thomas in the 2nd if he's there. Bonitto is a stand up rusher so I don't think he has value for us with Reddick already on the roster. I'm also assuming Ojabo is off our board based on Howie's recent comments about injuries.

 

Refs are going to lose control quickly now.

That knee was a wreck during the season.  But I saw him doing roll outs at the combine and he looked smooth.

Only QB im interested in. Would love to have him at any point after round 1. I imagine him with a healthy knee throwing back shoulders to DeVonta, deep shots to Quez & lasers up the seam to Goedert behind a top 5 Oline and that get's me excited. He's way further ahead as a passer coming out than Hurts was or even is now. Im the guy in the profile pic so this has nothing to do with race. Just not a fan of Hurts's game and dont see him developing into a high level passer.

It is pathetic that this needs to be stated.  Hurts' limitations as a passer aren't related to his race.  Strong's assets as a passer aren't related to his race.  Frankly, Warren Moon might have been the best pure passer to ever play in the NFL.  He had issues with the NFL because of his race, and dominated the CFL before he came to the NFL and put up ridiculous passing numbers.  

If I wanted to run an NCAA offense, Hurts is likely the better option.  But, in the NFL, at the end of the day, it is all about how well the QB plays from the pocket.  If the QB can't operate from the pocket, then the ceiling is only so high in the NFL.  

 

And I agree with you 100%... give me Strong, or pass on all these QBs (maybe take a flyer on one on Day 3).

What happened?

We have 5 high priority needs - starting safety, starting corner, wide receiver2, a rotational DE and a rotational DE. 

We have 3 premium picks - 15, 18, and 51.

We need to trade down at least once and maybe twice in order to fill those needs with quality.

I've seen many accused of being racist or 🦝's for their lack of belief in Hurts by people with my skin color and It's BS. I'd take Russ, Watson, Lamar, Kyler etc in a heartbeat as would most white eagles fans. At the end of the day, i just want a QB who can operate a modern day offense, get the ball into our playmakers hands and lead us deep into the playoffs. I dont see that being Hurts. I could be totally wrong though and for the eagles sake, i hope i am. All i know is Strong's game mirrors the QB's i've seen be the most successful in my time of watching football. It doesnt hurt that he's from NorCal(Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen) and has an awesome name, as do most great QB's.

Terry is a Quizno's manager, not a NFL player.

Or... we should recognize that they can't fill all the holes in one draft and just focus on getting the best players available and come back and finish filling the holes the next draft.

Don’t even know how I pulled that one off.

Whole section of fans threw garbage on the field at an opposing player in the outfield. Beers, soda, whatever trash they could find. Went on for about a full 30 seconds until Yankees players had to run out and tell them to stop.

I think we just need quality at this point. Don’t have to fill all your needs in one draft.
