We have 5 high priority needs - starting safety, starting corner, wide receiver2, a rotational DE and a rotational DE.

We have 3 premium picks - 15, 18, and 51.

We need to trade down at least once and maybe twice in order to fill those needs with quality.

There is no need to fill 5 needs in 1 draft.  Better to definitively and successfully address only 2 of them than to try to address all 5 and end up with a bunch of busts.

Only QB im interested in. Would love to have him at any point after round 1. I imagine him with a healthy knee throwing back shoulders to DeVonta, deep shots to Quez & lasers up the seam to Goedert behind a top 5 Oline and that get's me excited. He's way further ahead as a passer coming out than Hurts was or even is now. Im the guy in the profile pic so this has nothing to do with race. Just not a fan of Hurts's game and dont see him developing into a high level passer.

yep. Nothing wrong with the way hes moving in that video.

And then you watch the bottom one. Imagine Smith and Goedert with a QB who can place a ball like that. Quez would be like Romeo Doubs catching all those long balls in stride, running wide open behind the secondary. Id also love to see Alec Pierce with that group.  Dynamic.

Had 8 hours of little league opening day between the opening ceremony, pictures for both boys at different times, and both of their games.

Younger son had his first T-ball game and did great just paying attention and fielding the ball rather than playing in the dirt.

Older son in minor league, batting last in the order hit a lead off double, a triple, and a single, scored 9 times and had 4 RBIs.  Final inning ended with him on deck. That was his chance for the full cycle, but no homerun today.

Best times were playing T-ball and Pee Wee Football through all the leagues till senior year in high school, then watching my oldest son do the same thing. My youngest was too smart for football, "not good enough for the NFL, why get into 7-8 car crashes per game,” and he was right, but damn HS football was fun.

This is all i've been saying all along. None of Nevada's OL or RB's are getting drafted this year and that isnt due to being ineligible. Strong is the main reason Doubs & Turner might get drafted before the 5th round. You give this kid DeVonta, Goedert, Quez, Pierce, Sanders, Gainwell & a top 5 line... He'd be a serious OROY candidate if he got to start week 1 IMO. From everything i've read, there is no structural damage to his knee. He simply rushed back too soon so he could play instead of taking the full recovery time. He's already shed the brace and will be like 18 months removed from the surgery by the time the season starts. I hope we draft him and trade Hurts but realistically, Jalen is the guy for 2022 and we will sell the farm for a QB in the 23' draft.

I believe you are right. I wish I could find the clip of him doing some rollout drills. I was searching youtube earlier and couldnt find it. Must have been on twitter. But, like I said, he is looking smooth. Hes not fast, but he looks at least as good as Nick Foles did. Which is good enough to bootleg, and even some read option.

The statue stuff is way exaggerated. I see why, when you watched him last year. Collman said he looked like he was playing on a peg leg and that is true. But thats not what Carson Strong is. He was more athletic before, and he appears to have it back now that the season is over and he is further removed from the surgery.

This it?

Thought this was pretty smooth as well compared to his movement during the season.

Wayy exaggerated. He is a decent athlete when healthy and will probably have one of the top 10 strongest arms in the NFL when he's drafted.

yep. that first video is the one I saw.

Hes back as good as ever. Not a statue at this point. Hes easily QB1 in this draft, and no one is in his ballpark.

After him my preference would be Ridder (on upside), and Pickett based on his steady reliability in everything from running a pro style offense to an adequate arm, passing accuracy, and solid athleticism. Not an elite talent, but potentially a very solid steady prime Matt Ryan type.

well there you go. Its nick foles all over again. We drafted him, and people were surprised at his athleticism. Next thing you know you see basketball highlights and people in the know are like- well he was an excellent basketball player. He IS athletic. Unfortunately with Strong's arm I dont think we can get him in round 4 like Foles. But thats ok. Ill take him as early as we need to.

So I couldn't convince you guys to trade for Deebo the other night?  Oh well...it was fun trying. :P

Foles was Round 3.  ;)  #88 overall.  We hold #83.

Funny you'd say that. He definitely reminds me of Foles, but like the best of him. NFCCG, SB, 27-2 Foles. If you could give Foles Wentz's arm talent, he'd be Carson Strong.

One of Foles most underrated throws. That's like 65 air yards.

It's gotta be tough seeing Jayson Tatum play like a super star and the 76ers passed on him for Markelle Fultz.

Celtics wouldn't have traded down with the Sixers if they were going to take Tatum.

Anyone?

Yeah.  Such an original idea.  Amazing no one on Twitter or Philly radio has brought it up.  Since that’s where most of the moronic ideas are beaten into the ground.

Not that ball velocity always equates to arm strength but Nick Foles and Carson Wentz actually hit the same speed of 57 mph at their combines.

Different types of release, throwing styles etc - Wentz loves to gun throws - Foles is more of a "feel passer".  But if it comes down to it, Foles can launch it deep - and with accuracy.

Ok.  That's the pick.  83- Carson Strong. If he goes earlier than that,  I'll say they shoulda taken him earlier and be upset.

If he is there at 83 and we don't take him,  I'll be breathing fire.

I want a QB. I don't care about wasting a pick. No player in this draft is in my opinion worth me having to watch Hurts play QB another season. So what we get a good DE or CB. Is that really worth an entire season of garbage?  It's one starter

Scouts should keep an eye on this Quandale Dingle kid I keep hearing about.

I think some team will draft him and be surprised by his mobility too. I don't think he is drew Bledsoe or Tom Brady statuesque. I think he will have Nick Foles "functional mobility".

That knee was a wreck during the season.  But I saw him doing roll outs at the combine and he looked smooth.

He didn’t exactly come out on fire at the Senior bowl or combine. If he’s there at 83 and they take him, I definitely won’t be upset. But 51 is too high for me. Maybe they package 83 and 101 to get up to the mid-60’s and take him at the top of the 3rd. Provided they are meticulous about evaluating that knee I’d be far happier giving him a shot than another year of Hurts. Hell if they take him, grab Doubs at 124 and give him a familiar target.

I've seen many accused of being racist or 🦝's for their lack of belief in Hurts by people with my skin color and It's BS. I'd take Russ, Watson, Lamar, Kyler etc in a heartbeat as would most white eagles fans. At the end of the day, i just want a QB who can operate a modern day offense, get the ball into our playmakers hands and lead us deep into the playoffs. I dont see that being Hurts. I could be totally wrong though and for the eagles sake, i hope i am. All i know is Strong's game mirrors the QB's i've seen be the most successful in my time of watching football. It doesnt hurt that he's from NorCal(Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen) and has an awesome name, as do most great QB's.

Who is the best QB with a non-cool name? Fran Tarkenton?

I do definitely like that he played in a pro style offense.

As far as funny name QB’s…Elvis Grbac.

Pierce is my #1 want in this draft, so I’m prepared for disappointment.

51 is too high. 83 probably won’t be there. They’d have to package the two 3rds to move to the bottom of R2/top of R3.
