Just catching up with last night's conversion in here, the following would seem plausible to me....

Trade up to 13 (using 101), then trade down to 20 (Steelers get a QB, Eagles get a 2022 R3 pick)

13. DT Davis (all-time physical freak/unicorn at the position)
20. DE Karlaftis (young bull, film room junkie, coaches dream, 'good' Ryan Kerrigan 2.0?)
51. LB Harris (Gannon's Darius Leonard 2.0?) or LB Muma (IMO a healthy Sean Lee 2.0)
83. C/G Jurgens (Stout's chosen one?) or G/C Cole Strange (Evan Mathis 2.0?)

Considering adding a little more of a 'healthy' touch to my diet that tastes good, but has added benefits.  I keep hearing about macha green tea (or matcha, or however it is spelled).  Where does one source it?  Is the stuff Lipton sells in the grocery store 'good enough' (I'm not a health food store regular, and don't plan to go to an extra store just for that type of stuff and pay crazy prices)?   Is there any truth to the discussions about macha as a healthy choice... lower heart disease, lower liver disease, extra potent antioxidants, etc.?   And is it true that the caffeine is more potent but less deleterious in its effects due to an extra chemical that counteracts the caffeine crash?

This would be an 'after work' drink on a daily basis, but I'm not sure if its actually got anything to back up its claims or if its the latest in the long line of health foods that get a lot of buzz.

I just don't get trading up for a guy who is a two down player. Trading up for Davis is my nightmare. If the Eagles trade up, I hope it's for Gardner or Stingley Jr..  I don't really love Karlaftis. I'd rather trade down again.

Why do people think Jurgens is Stoutland's guy? Has anybody read that somewhere? How high was Stoutland on Dillard? I just feel there's gonna be other guys sitting there with high grades at positions of higher value.

I'm right there with you. But I'd leave Karlaftis on there too.

I haven't had Matcha tea yet but like you, I hear great things.  My opinion, and it's strictly that, is that I would stay away from any name or store brand if you're trying to go for the health/benefits route.  Take a few minutes and research best Matcha tea for your wanted results.  Try The Vitamin Shoppe.  They are always running sales and deliver in a day usually.

Peter King has Thibodeaux falling to 13 and Jermaine Johnson falling to 23. Seems far-fetched, but we keep getting told to expect surprises so who knows. I'd trade up for Thibodeaux in this scenario.

A scenario like this is a dream scenario.  Landing 2 of the dozen or so elite prospects in Jordan Davis and Devin Lloyd, IMO part of a small group of prospects most likely to become true difference makers, AND adding a 3rd round pick, would be incredible.

The more QBs and WRs that get taken, the more opportunity there will be for the Eagles to land difference makers and really improve the team for the long term.  There are also a few OL that appear to be very strong prospects, and since I think we may be targeting other guys in round 1 (though OL/DL remain most important after QB) I’ll be rooting in this draft for those players to go high as well.

This is a draft for the Eagles to add significant talent and hopefully find at least one real impact player on defense.  Late day2 and day 3 can also add to the offense.

I thought the best part of this mock is the result of us getting Davis and the Cowboys taking Linderbaum. That should be an incredible mismatch for us if it works out.

How would Corral know if it was a smokescreen or not? Do you think they get guys in and half ass the interview while giggling a lot to give it away?  There's a better than even chance Corral is there in the second, he seems to be in the process of dropping behind Ridder on boards.

Corral is a one read RPO QB, who played pretty much all his college ball out of shotgun, has a tendency to bail if his first read isn't there and stare down receivers, in essence we'd be drafting chopped liver to try and upgrade the ground chuck people in here don't like. He'd overthrow the deep ball rather than underthrow it and not get as many rushing yards, big whoop.

While all of this is true (I’m not high on Corral at all) drafting him would give Sirianni the QB of his choice to groom, develop and evaluate instead of floundering with a QB he inherited.  More importantly, it would give the Eagles 5 years to do it.  Hurts is already entering Year 3 of his 4-year entry-level contract (no 5th year option) and he will be demanding a huge contract $25-30M+ at the end of this season, like Kyler Murray is doing now.

It would be pressing the reset button at the position essentially.

3 new "predictive" mocks on TDN.

Each one has us taking Williams at 18.

at 15 one has us getting Hamilton, one has us getting Jordan Davis, and another has us getting Karalaftis

The closer we get, the more I think Olave, London, Wilson and potentially Williams are all gone by 15.  The NFL is a passing league and teams know it.  You need 2-3 good WR on a team and with contracts going the way they are, having a good WR on a potential 5-year rookie deal is a very smart move.  The Eagles absolutely need a WR, even with Hurts still at QB.

Every team ahead of the Eagles could use a WR.  What sucks is that the two NFCE teams are lined up to get one.  If the Giants are open to trading Toney, that tells me they most likely will use one of their picks on a WR.  Washington will want to give Carson his best chance at success.  This would suck.  People always say don't worry about what other teams do, just worry about the Eagles but I absolutely hate seeing the Eagles rivals get impact players in positions the Eagles continually fail to.

My hope is that the Eagles have their choice of Olave or Williams in the first or find a way to get Pickens in a trade down.

This time of year is so exciting but being a huge college football fan it also sucks.  I know that guys I've loved watching on Saturdays are going to go to teams I hate.  CeeDee Lamb was the last guy that really killed me on draft day.

I had a good laugh at the ITB mock draft.  Their selections are Garrett Wilson and Jermaine Johnson....

4 WRs going before 15 is a great thing for the Eagles.  And if 2-3 QBs go as well, that really means that at least one stud defensive player should fall into their laps, assuming they have the brains to draft him.

Hamilton and Davis. I could live with Karalaftis. I think he has a chance to be a better pro than college player.

I dont hate Williams either, but Im not sure we really should have all smaller WRs. I get adding more speed, but if thats the priority Id still get it in a larger package. Trade down for Watson, or take Pierce later.

Going all small WRs would fit the Greatest Show on Turf style... it can work, but I'm not a fan, especially if our running game is the dominant aspect of the offense.  Then it's just silly to go with smurfs on the outside.

As far as this year's QBs:

There has been a lot of talk that this is a very down year for quarterback prospects. How many guys are seen as legit first-round talents?

QB Coach 1: Usually you have the consensus No. 1 guy or some real top-10 picks. With this group there’s a lack of depth, and you may get some of them pushed up into the first round. But I view these guys, the top ones this year, as second-round talents.

QB Coach 2: Our highest-graded quarterback this year is Sam Howell. I’ve got a second-round grade on him. We’ve got a third-round grade on Kenny Pickett, and if you looked at his 2020 film, it’d be a sixth- or seventh-round grade.

Lots of folks really talk up Malik Willis’ arm but have concerns about the system he played in college. How concerned are you about how his game translates to the NFL and what his transition will be like?

QB Coach 2: You have to commit if you take him and change your offense and go to something like what the Philadelphia Eagles do. He’s more like Jalen Hurts, who is powerful, strong and (like Willis) gives defense problems with his legs.

Malik’s arm is really strong. It’s legit strong, probably a top 8 in the NFL. Jalen Hurts, I think, throws it better right now than Malik. More accurately. Has more throws in his arm where he has some touch and can throw with pace. If you’re taking Malik, you gotta make it the college offense, and not do the drop back, read the coverage, play it out. To me, it’s a square peg, round hole, at least while they’re young and really learning.

Scout 1: I think Malik’s ceiling is so high because of his arm and he’s so athletic. I’ve heard he’s a smart kid. There are those errant throws, but the more plays, the better he’s gonna get.

QB Coach 3: Someone’s gonna fall in love with the arm, but the system he played in worries you. I think with him, you’re gonna have to structure the system, like the Eagles do with Hurts. He’s become more accurate depending on how much you give him to read. There is elite power in the arm (with Willis). The question is the other throws, guys running across the field and when you have to layer the ball and on the comebacks. You can’t be a flat-line passer in this league.

Some team is going to reach for a QB, but I doubt it'll be close to the top ten, more likely they might trade up to #18 or so.

And I think Howie is perfectly sincere that they're going with Hurts, if this is how they see the QBs in this class - maybe take one they like in the 3rd if he falls.

1.  Who cares what the evaluation of Pickett was in 2020?  The Bengals didn't draft 2018 Joe Burrow; they drafted 2019 Joe Burrow.  See how that worked out for them?

2.  These coaches aren't lauding what the Eagles are doing with Hurts.  They're saying 'if you draft Malik Willis, you might be stuck doing what the Eagles are having to do with Jalen Hurts'.

Hamilton at 15, Cline at 18.

Who knows? More I read about Hamilton, he's really not a good fit without a true FS, like Chancellor and Thomas in Seattle.

He's going to struggle in coverage in the NFL as a pure safety, he's more of a S/LB hybrid, maybe even move to LB like Urlacher did.

In other words, if you can spend a couple years developing them, but you're not going to plug and play them in a conventional scheme. But as Lawrence, Wilson and Lance showed last season, and Burrow and Allen before them, it's going to be 2-3 years for almost any young QB, even the ones that aren't flops.

Urlacher was a top FS in college, athletic, smart but got moved to LB b/c his height and coverage skills made him a tough fit at safety in the NFL.

Chancellor stayed at SS b/c he had a great ball hawking FS playing deep.

Hamilton would be great for matchups against top TEs, but how will he hold up against quick, change of direction WRs?

Name me a NFL FS with that kind of size. And the box safety is pretty much an obsolete position.

I can see Hamilton in a hybrid role, wrecking havoc, but you'd have to build your defense around that role.

As all the players we want get drafted just before us, I'm going to be shaking my fist at Belichick and the Pats for choking two games against Miami!!!!!  lol. This draft just can't come soon enough.
