Considering adding a little more of a 'healthy' touch to my diet that tastes good, but has added benefits.  I keep hearing about macha green tea (or matcha, or however it is spelled).  Where does one source it?  Is the stuff Lipton sells in the grocery store 'good enough' (I'm not a health food store regular, and don't plan to go to an extra store just for that type of stuff and pay crazy prices)?   Is there any truth to the discussions about macha as a healthy choice... lower heart disease, lower liver disease, extra potent antioxidants, etc.?   And is it true that the caffeine is more potent but less deleterious in its effects due to an extra chemical that counteracts the caffeine crash?

This would be an 'after work' drink on a daily basis, but I'm not sure if its actually got anything to back up its claims or if its the latest in the long line of health foods that get a lot of buzz.

Loose leaf is the best bet, but Lipton isn't great, their tea bags have a plastic like substance, along with a lot of tea bags, which isn't the best thing to drink. If you see Numi brand, that's pretty good quality all the way around. Amazon has 18 tea bag 3 packs for like 20 bucks. Silver needle white tea is another very high quality tea. Similar to green.

The assumption is that Williams is still there which isn’t a given. Listening to Sirius, been multiple reporters and draft analyst come on saying they’ve heard from a lot of teams he has the highest upside of any Wr in the draft. So he might be gone before 14. Also who put this out there? If it was the eagles it was done for a reason and likely a smokescreen. It could be the ravens who want to move back to get extra picks and aren’t enthusiastic about picking at 14

Peter King has Thibodeaux falling to 13 and Jermaine Johnson falling to 23. Seems far-fetched, but we keep getting told to expect surprises so who knows. I'd trade up for Thibodeaux in this scenario.

I wouldn't trade up for Thibodeaux in that situation. I would sit tight and take Johnson.

God I hope so. I am not interested heavily in any of these R1 receivers. Trade down with 18 if possible to pick up another day 2 pick and get George Pickens. I want a bully opposite DeVonta.

Howie will blow this. Smith was an obvious pick, but he has blown their first for years.

I 100% believe teams like/love Jameson Williams.

I have a hard time believing teams are trading UP for Williams in the top 14 in what is considered a deep, but not top-heavy draft. Why trade up for Williams, when you can just stay put and likely get Olave.

That would be sick but I'm assuming Mafe, Pickens and Paschal all go earlier than where you picked them. Paschal probably goes in the 3rd at the latest.

I'm getting more worried the closer we get to draft

Not shabby. I'd like to see a wideout in there somewhere...probably at 101 (but I get the appeal of Spiller there).

I wouldn't be surprised if some teams to have Williams in their top 10. A lot of people believe he has the highest potential out of the 1st round receivers.

In this scenario, we would draft Alec Pierce in round 2 with the pick we get from trading Hurts after drafting Pickett.

Admit it.  You uttered these words a few years ago, "Donnel Pumphrey can be Darren Sproles 2.0”.  Didn’t you?

Using a rare example from 20 years ago is ridiculous.

It's a rare example b/c most players that size get moved from safety to LB in college, few stay at safety.

And Urlacher played at a time when defenses were more oriented against the run, so there were more opportunities for a big safety (see Chancellor).

Chancellor  6'3  230   4.69 [4.59 pro day]  1.60   32   4.41   7.36   32   9'8

Now he was purely a box safety, and most teams probably would have moved him to WLB. But there's a reason he was drafted early in the 5th rd.

Biggest all pro safeties:

James 6'2  215:  4.47  1.55  21  4.34   7.34   40   11'1

H Smith 6'2  213:   4.57   1.56   19   4.12   6.63   34   10'3

Adrian Wilson 6'2  213:   4.52   1.61   21   ---   ---   39   10'0

My one and only mock draft simulator. Whiffed at safety, took a few dart throws at LB. Blend of guys I like but at positions I think the Eagles would realistically target.

Last 2 picks were Montaric Brown at 166 and Chance Campbell at 237.

Is "sick” bad now or is it still good?

Still good.

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well and excited for the draft! Looks like it'll be an interesting one this year with the two 1st round picks, the poor QB class and clump of good WR in the first 2 rounds. Very interesting what teams will do with those QBs. Do they do as they always do and chase QBs, pushing better prospects down?

This feels like 2014 when the Jags shocked everyone and took Bortles at 3. Some team is going to draft a QB in the top 10 that we don't expect.

My bet is the Steelers

How would Corral know if it was a smokescreen or not? Do you think they get guys in and half ass the interview while giggling a lot to give it away?  There's a better than even chance Corral is there in the second, he seems to be in the process of dropping behind Ridder on boards.

Corral is a one read RPO QB, who played pretty much all his college ball out of shotgun, has a tendency to bail if his first read isn't there and stare down receivers, in essence we'd be drafting chopped liver to try and upgrade the ground chuck people in here don't like. He'd overthrow the deep ball rather than underthrow it and not get as many rushing yards, big whoop.

Didn’t say they were drafting Corral, as for the smokescreen, should everyone believe Howie going to watch NC vs PITT was a smokescreen?   The Eagles interviewing Strong at both the Senior Bowl and the Combine was also a smokescreen? Taking Pickett out to dinner after his Pro Day was a smokescreen?
Matt Corral at the combine told everyone he’d likely have a draft visit with the Eagles and then had a visit with the Eagles, but it was all BS because you know for sure that Nick and or Howie want nothing to do with Corral, they just wanted to ask him about Lane Kiffin’s wife?
Due diligence isn’t a smokescreen in case you weren’t aware, I know exactly the kind of offense Corral ran at Ole Miss, and he’s not the QB I’d want in the 1st round. but if
Now if Pickett is there at 15 or 18, and the Eagles drafted him, would it be that surprising?  Anyone saying yes hasn’t paid attention to the Eagles over the last 10 years.

Yeah this is what I'm thinking as well. Every year - without fail - there's just too many teams who need a better QB and think the reward of hitting on a QB is too good to not take a chance on.

What about two time all pro safety Steve Atwater, 6'3" 218.

If Eagles come out of the first 2 rounds with Williams and Ojabo I'll be 6 to midnight

What Mcshay is hearing

  • Nothing new here, but the Washington Commanders are all in on finding another wide receiver. I've heard two very different nuggets on their preference at No. 11. One GM told me that buzz around the league points to Washington taking Ohio State's Chris Olave, pairing him with a former Buckeyes teammate in Terry McLaurin. But another says London is rumored to be much higher on Washington's board at the position. Regardless, it might be a moot point if London goes to the Falcons or Jets.

  • Multiple execs I spoke with think Alabama wideout Jameson Williams is the Philadelphia Eagles' preference at No. 15. And if not Philly, then the New Orleans Saints could be his floor at No. 16. If another team wants Williams, it will probably have to move up to at least the Baltimore Ravens' No. 14 slot. Baltimore -- which already has eight picks in Rounds 2 to 4 -- is always willing to move back.

  • Everyone knows the Saints are a likely landing spot for Northern Iowa offensive tackle Trevor Penning. New Orleans just lost Terron Armstead in free agency, and it then traded for an additional pick in the middle of Round 1. There's a big drop-off after the top three tackles in the class, and an even bigger one after Penning, so there could be a sense of urgency for teams looking for one. Any team trying to get Penning on Thursday will likely have to move up -- potentially to that same No. 14 spot.

  • I've heard one of the teams eyeing Penning is the Los Angeles Chargers, who are currently at No. 17. They would have to find a way to jump ahead of the Saints in line.

  • I mentioned the buzz around Davis to Seattle at No. 9, but the intrigue doesn't stop there. Everyone I've talked to says they'd be shocked if the 340-pounder fell past Baltimore at No. 14.

  • Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton is my No. 4 prospect, and he is very high on a lot of teams' boards. But in my opinion, the draft starts with the Giants at No. 7 for him, and he could very well slide into the teens with the way things are coming together. I don't think he makes it past the Minnesota Vikings at No. 12 or Houston at No. 13, but with teams scrambling for the top offensive tackles, edge rushers, wide receivers and cornerbacks, Hamilton cracking the top 10 might be tough.

  • Three prospects I've heard who could fall out of Round 1: Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean, Purdue defensive end George Karlaftis and Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum. Dean is the most likely of the trio to still be a first-rounder.

  • I don't have a first-round grade on Tulsa offensive lineman Tyler Smith, but he could very well be a late pick on Day 1. The drop-off at offensive tackle is notable, but teams always need them and are willing to reach a bit. And a lot of decision-makers around the league like Smith's coachability.
