What's the deal with Pickens?  Is he just a knucklehead or typical WR primadonna?  Red flags??

Found it. From 8:20: I pretty much mentioned all his points in my post. And Greg does mention the Vita Vea comparison as well. And spoiler: Greg doesn't really love Devonte Wyatt either. Well... he says he's a tough evaluation.

Cool thanks for that, cossell makes sone good points that I never really thought about.

Vita vea is more a power player, as was Ngata who they talked about, and it makes sense that Davis is more a strength player.

My comp for Davis would be John Henderson, Jags/raiders, now henderson was a high first round pick as well but that was 20 years ago and as we know the league is much different than 20 years ago as it's a passing league so a guy that maybe wont play in passing downs doesn't have as much value as say 20 years ago.

Again thanks for sharing this it's given me reason to have caution about Davis, I don't think I'm totally opposed to drafting him I just hope Gannon has a really good plan for him drafting him that high

This is what I've been saying for weeks! The guy is a two down, run stuffing lineman. People just fell in love with the combine performance and the "potential." I'd stay away. I'd rather have an edge rusher who gets pressure on the QB with a first round pick and look for DT later in the draft.

"ACL" has become a generic term, big difference between a clean ACL tear and multiple ligament tears.

I think Devin Loyd drops out of rd 1 , health issues and his age  working against him

He has Stingley falling to 23 lol... and Eagles passing for Trent McDuffie. I'd root for Dallas next season purely out of spite.

Yup, and cosell generally knows what he's talking about, do you have a link or can direct me to what he says about Davis, I'd be Interested in giving it a listen

Last I heard cossell liked Jordan Davis.

Davis played 38% of the defensive snaps last season, Wyatt played 42%.  Why so low?  It's college, they blow teams out - they have huge rosters, etc.

In the national championship Davis played 54% of the defensive snaps, Wyatt played 55%... that's higher than 20% and much closer to the 60%+ you'd want at the pro-level.

Davis' assignment was to 2-gap, eat double teams and let the UGA LBs amass stats; strength as defined by Cossell is very important in that role.  The combine data shows that Davis does have power, but Kirby Smart wasn't designing game plans where Davis 1-gaps as 3T so it's not exactly on display every play.  Will he have the discipline to keep his weight down, will he develop better technique and a broader skillset for the pro game... we don't have that information.

McDuffie and London.  That would be horrible, and I could totally see it happening.

There's no way in hell the Eagles take Drake London. That I can guarantee you. They'd sooner take a LB before London. After whiffing on two PAC12 WRs in the last decade and having recent SEC success drafting, there's no chance Howie goes back to that PAC12 well again. McDuffie I doubt also, but much better chance than London.

Wyatt at 9, Thib at 12, Stingley at 23. We pass on Wilson and Stingley.

The Kenny Pickett fans would be having fits.

Simms has us passing on Pickett and Corral.

And taking a PAC 12 WR?

I'll be ordering a new universal remote at the end of the day if that's how RD1 plays out.

Is there a first round guy with more of a divided opinion on him than Drake London?  I feel like people either hate him or have him as WR1.

Some of these mocks make me wonder if people actually know the roster of NFL teams

Jameson Williams makes way, way too much sense.  We have to get this offense right so we can find out exactly what Hurts can do.  Our WR's outside of Devonta were not great last year so we have to get that right.  Plus with his speed, he can take a short pass and go for serious YAC.

Take the most highly rated DE or CB prospect at 18.

Use one of the 3rds to trade up from 51 to land the other DE or CB prospect you didn't get at 18.

OL with the other 3rd.

I wouldn't be mad at that.

At this point idec anymore because i know what he refuses to do at this stage. He wont throw left unless its on designed screen or improvised rollout. Wont throw over middle down the hash.  As much hate the current offense gets our HC did a great job on route concepts and scheming ppl open. Ive seen Hurts literally look at WRs open and instead of staying on platform, setting feet and making a easy throw he pulled the ball down and left the pocket with no pressure. This is not excusable, Reagor may be lazy at times but he has talent if someone will get him the ball underneath for YAC. Smith is open 10-15 yard routes every time and plants but QB pays him no mind. Exhausting to say the least so I'm not sure what anyone is expecting from hurts when the guy won't do basics.  TLDR: Basically this offense already has weapons and watkins has potential as a deep threat. Its the guy throwing the ball...

Now obviously trades will happen, including for us. We know Howie isnt going to sit still completely. Having said that, here's roughly what we'll be looking at this time next week:

  • 15. Drake London - WR
  • 18. Trent McDuffie - CB
  • 51. Drake Jackson - DE
  • 83. Ed Ingram - OG
  • 101. Cam Jurgens - C
  • 124. Bryan Cook - S
  • 154. Pierre Strong Jr. - RB
  • 162. Matt Henningsen - DT
  • 166. Charlie Kolar - TE
  • 237. Olakunle Fatukasi - LB

Terrible, right?

Get ready.
