That is actually good.  Lowers the price of trading up.

Hope so

Ive been having this weird feeling for the past week that if Kayvon starts to slip, we’re the team to go get him. Not at 4 or 5, but 8, maybe 9

The closer the draft gets, the closer Howie gets to trading up for Thibodeaux.  And frankly I think it is the right move.  The whole philosophy is win on the lines and 2nd to last in the league doesn't scream pass rush.  He's moving up at 15.  18 is a move down if he can for WR.  2nd round talent at secondary.  Rest fill in

People keep saying it’s not a good thing for Kayvon to compare him to Jadaveon, but Houston hit on that pick. If you knew you’d get what Clowney has been out of Thibodeaux, no one would be disappointed.

Im thinking about making a thread.

I have come up with 20 questions to prove draft expertise (or how lucky of a guesser you are).

Im certainly too lazy to record all the answers but they will be in the thread, and Im sure there are a few here who will be interested enough in being righter than everyone else who might take the time to keep score.

Anyone interested in this?

"massive package"

No one that will be available when the Eagles pick has me excited in a "we must have that player” way.  I must have been reading too many of these mock games results others post, because part of me wants to see the Saints and Pittsburgh targeting one of the flawed QBs and getting into a bidding battle for #15 with the Saints getting the pick and selecting a different QB than the one Pittsburgh was targeting.  Just as Pittsburgh is breathing a sigh of relief, Howie calls and mentions the Lions are offering an attractive package but he wanted to give Pittsburgh a chance to counter.  Pittsburgh bites and Howie parlays #15 into #16 then #20 with added draft capital.  He, as @Iggles_Phan so eloquently projects, then claims the player(s) they were targeting at #15 were amazingly available at #18 and #20, basically convincing most of the Blog to view it as "well, Howie missed on those picks but at least he excels in collecting other picks he can miss on.”

Jets trading #10 overall + other stuff for Deebo, to then pay him 20M/Y is a lot.

I think that's a positive for us from a draft perspective though. SF absolutely a team that can pick OL at 10.

No. Not it doesn’t.  We’ve sunk enough draft equity in that position the last 4 years.  Trading up this year, would be beyond sad.

Sunk costs. I don't look at past failures or success. Each year is a reset. This is the roster you have. These are the draft picks you have... fill the holes... go.

The one time he has a good pick it was a WR from Alabama so it makes sense that he's so small minded that he desperately tries to recreate that.  But to a normal person trading up for a WR would make no sense

This Memphis/Minny game is quite good.  Ja Morant is quite an athlete, if he can learn to harness and control his insane ability he's going to be amongst the GOATs.

Tommy’s Eagles mock. Dotson would be depressing…

1 – 15 – DT Jordan Davis – Georgia – 6-6, 341
1 – 18 – WR Jahan Dotson – Penn State – 5-11, 178
2 – 51 – LB Christian Harris – Alabama – 6-1, 226
3 – 83 – CB Jalyn Armour-Davis – Alabama – 6-1, 197
3 – 101 – SAF Bryan Cook – Cincinnati – 6-1, 206
4 – 124 – LB Myjai Sanders – Cincinnati – 6-5, 242
5 – 154 – RB Zamir White – Georgia – 6-0, 214
5 – 162 – DL Zachary Carter – Florida – 6-4, 282
5 – 166 – TE Jake Ferguson – Wisconsin – 6-5, 250
7 – 237 – OL Dawson Deaton – Texas Tech – 6-6, 304

Not a ton of confidence in picks 51 through 101.

Sanders in round 4 is pretty nice. Like White. The late rounders are fine. But thats a very iffy middle of the draft.

Dotson is a heck of a playmaker, but we are asking for trouble with such a small WR corps.

Yeah.  And we have a ton of them.  On defense.  Of which we have refused to fill.  For years.

I saw that dunk.  Holy F.

He's an absolute spaz on the court, but his vision is insane.  He missed a lot of easy stuff tonight though.  That game winner, how do you let that happen.

Unless somebody crazy falls, the Eagles have to pick 2 people in the 1st round this year or we're back to watching draft position scenarios again next year.

I think there isn't as much difference between Olave/Wilson and Dotson as most think there is, but 18 is probably too rich for me.

Love JAD. He has an extensive injury history, but there are NFL people who are way higher on him than the media is.

here is the thread youve all been anxiously awaiting.

I said it a week or so ago, I think Dotson is the best WR in this draft.  It's not his fault he had Clifford throwing to him.

If Dotson dropped into the mid to high 40's I wouldn't mind doing a small trade up for him. Makes no sense at 18 though. I like Andersen and Muma over Harris too.

Don't love the WR at 18 but would be pretty happy with Davis, Harris, Armour-Davis ( one of my favorite day two players), and Cook.

I don’t want Lloyd or Dean. My preference if they take one in R2 is Muma. I think if anything they’re looking to upgrade Edwards. He’s been a good player but I don’t see a potential superstar there. So if it’s a MLB with size and they don’t want to spend R2 capital on it, I’d look at Brandon Smith in R3. Smith is an insane athlete and could very well go R2, but he is a little raw which could make him available at 83.  My gut feeling though is still no LB on days 1 or 2. Darrian Beavers is not that great in coverage but he’d be an upgrade at MLB over Edwards as well and should be available in R4.

I like Smith as well and I could see Howie liking him, Smith is a bit of a project but he's a great athlete and seems Howie likes lbs that can run, Taylor was raw as well but he can run.

Same goes for Troy Anderson, who is a really good athlete.

I think you're right about Lbs after day 2.
