And what's your point?

My biggest concern on the eve of the draft:

My personal favorite round 1 targets for the Eagles have been pretty heavily mocked to us, by both local and national outlets, over the last several months.  Over the last week, those targets have consolidated themselves well inside the top 15, if not top 10.

My biggest concerns are we never take the people that are mocked to us even if they are sitting there 57 picks after they are supposed to be gone. We'll end up with 2 picks that are reaches while much better ones fall to our competition.

If the Panthers miss out on a tackle, Howie needs to have a Dillard package ready for them.

I think we might well end up sending Dillard to the Jets. Should be easy to convince Douglas who drafted him. How about #18 + Dillard for #10?

Could really see them pick Jermaine Johnson at 10 and Jameson Williams at 15..

Didn't happen last year though.

That would be interesting.  I'd much rather use a player like Dillard to trade up instead of draft picks.

Hearing a lot of interviews today predicting JAX will take an OT at #1.  Hard to argue with selecting the best player possible to protect your franchise player.  That could mean a top 5 of Neal, Hutchinson, Walker, Gardner, and Ekwonu.

They'll be stupid not to take Neal or Ekwonu

It's the Jags we are talking about after all

If I were them, I’d take one of them or Hutchinson.  I think any of the three are safe picks to be quality starters with good chances of being difference makers.  Walker may have a high ceiling, but definitely presents more risk.

I think teams value players in those kind of trades more than picks as well in terms of the trade value chart. I can’t be convinced that the Dolphins actually thought Maxwell/Alonso were third-round values, but instead saw them as two starters while also still getting a player they like in round 1.

If the Panthers want to trade back and get a QB to save their jobs, it makes all the sense in the world to trade back, fill LT with the trade down.

My feeling is we’ll make a shocking selection at 15.  I’ll go with Trevor Penning.  That seems to be the "WTF” Howie move we’ve come to expect.

What would be the cost to move up to 6?  Carolina is saying the teens would be their area to trade.

The owner will "collaborate” a final decision tor the lackey to sell.  Make no mistake that he is making the ultimate decisions.  Lackey is a front man, fall guy and sounding board (yes man).

This kind of pick (OT such as penning) would be preferable to me than taking a WR coming off a fresh ACL, a DE coming off an Achilles, etc.  Both lines have higher positional value than any other position other than obviously QB.

The Eagles need to find difference makers, and they need many foundational pieces.  If they can somehow end up with one of the top dozen or so guys, great.  If not, I don’t trust their evaluations especially as it relates to injuries, so if they go "chalk” for once and err on the side of more likely starters and then contributors I’d be ok with that approach.

I think they will trade, and I suspect they may try to trade up for one of the pass rushers.  That’s not what I would do but that’s my prediction.

Who's at 6 we would want? Not being a smart arse I just don't watch much college

Thibodeaux Hutchinson Gardner

Would cost the 2nd round pick and one of the 3rds.

No thanks…. Would consider for Gardner but doubt he would be there.

According to the Value Chart, your trade puts Dillard as equivalent to pick 50 (i.e. a mid-2nd rounder).

Is that realistic? Seems too high to me, IMO the Eagles will be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for him.

Sadly I was thinking the same thing as the "WTF" pick at 15. Like the kid, but not at 15 or even 18. But I still think the WTF pick will be Pickett. Hoping if it is, its only around 11-15 and not giving up the world to move into the top 10.

Only 1, maybe 2 players I would trade into the top 6-10 for, there is no player I would move into the top 5 for though.

Personally, I would stick at 15 and move back from 18 if there is a buyer with a late first and more picks.

Maybe a tad bit too high, but then again it was Douglas who wanted him and it's only 8 spots back. Plus when he was on the field last year he didn't look bad which is something.

But sure maybe it would take pick 15.

I’m gonna go with Matt Corral.

Realistically? Thibodeaux, Gardner, Stingley. Thibodeaux could very well be there with most likely Hutch, Walker, Ikwonu, Neal and Sauce going in some combo of 1-5.
