I would say Hamilton or Gardner

I just can;t see Howie ever taking a Safety in the first round. I would love Hamilton but I can;t see Howie buying. Gardner I could see though.

If they are moving up into the top 10 its for either Dline, CB, QB, OT(In any draft, not just this one) with a small chance at WR but not likely since this is a deep WR class even into the 2nd round where I could see a better chance moving up for a WR.

My feeling is we’ll make a shocking selection at 15.  I’ll go with Trevor Penning.  That seems to be the "WTF” Howie move we’ve come to expect.

Would picking a DE after all the receiver and corner talk count as shocking?

No. Karlaftis could very well be the pick. Could see a Karlaftis/Booth pairing, Karlaftis/Olave (or Burks) pairing as well if Wilson and Williams are gone. The more I’ve been watching of Karlaftis, the more I’ve liked what I’ve seen.

Only way I can see them to pick a safety in the first is if we trade back. But late first.. maybe?

No. Howie loves investing on both lines

My bet is more predictable than any fart.

I’m gonna go with Matt Corral.

Realistically? Thibodeaux, Gardner, Stingley. Thibodeaux could very well be there with most likely Hutch, Walker, Ikwonu, Neal and Sauce going in some combo of 1-5.

I agree

The Howie draft whirlwind special. Eagles trade less than you'd think to get up to #9 overall. Thibodeaux and Stingley still on the board. Eagles take Kenny Pickett.

There will be so many broken remotes in the tri-state area. But if they could do something like:

15, Jalen Hurts

for

9, 40, 2023 2nd

Now THAT is intriguing.

Zero percent

I've seen the complete opposite. on tv/twitter/etc I hear the Jags taking Travon Walker.

In fact, and this sounds crazy, but I think Hutchinson is the one who slips a little

I don't think Hutch gets past Detroit at 2

We can all agree to this, what ever so called "rumors" are published about Eagles interested in a player means they will not be touching that player.

You have to think of the players that no one from the media has been writing about as Howie's top target.

Watching Hall some more , he is a lock for rd 1 , I would put 5 or 10 pounds on him and play him on the IDL he did some damage up the middle , not saying you still couldn’t move him around , because you can

I've heard nothing/seen nothing. but It's just a hunch.

He went from minus money as the #1(basically the favorite) to now minus money to fall out of the top 3.

He's also not getting the  TV time or analysts time.

Just wouldn't shock me if he goes 4 or 5.

It's kind of hilarious that he likely should go #1, but because Baalke has some issue with Harbaugh, he won't. It's high school pettiness, and insanely dumb for a billion dollar company. If there is truth to that rumour....how does Khan not fire Baalke immediately?

From an on field perspective, Trevor Penning is a player I'm sure Stoutland would love to get his hands on.  I just don't think it's a reasonable pick to make vs other needs.

The team has to ween itself off of using 2nd and 3rd round picks to trade up or for other players.  It's a small part of why the roster lacks talent, especially when some drafts are strong in those areas.  Have to remain disciplined

That's why I think all the Jurgens (in the 2nd) mentions were BS. Didn't hear about him at all offseason until four days before the draft and now he's a surefire pick? Sure.

For someone that you people claim is so helplessly bad you sure do think he carries a lot of trade value.

Totally agree. 1000%.

I think you know EXACTLY what your going to get with Hutchinson. Walker is your typical Monster ceiling guy

My thing about this mess, is what is Doug doing? LOL. Watching Khan and Baalke fight like school girls while he has a terrible offense, holes every where and the Jags should realisrically trade back to the highest bidder because IMO no ones worth a first rounder but someone in the league may think so.

Doug's eating ice cream.

That's because we aren't racist.

What???

Since taking over again, Howie traded day 2 picks in the trades for Wentz, Darby, Tate, and Devonta. 3 of the 4 were/will be core starters for multiple years. Hardly a poor track record there.

If a stud is within range of 15, screw the Saints pick.

Absolutely. But none of them are on the roster other than Smith.  We spent multiple picks in a prime area and are left with 1 player. Allied with the JJAW pick and the Taylor one, the team has gained little depth from a prime area to pick in the draft.

Were we not heavily connected to Reagor and Devonta the previous two drafts? Plus Horn/Surtain, who we tried to trade up for?

Yikes. No wonder he has zero buzz.

It was a hypothetical scenario. I think the Hawks would be nuts to do that trade.

12 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

Nah.  He isn't worth that much.  That was one man's, misguided opinion of value.  Trust your instincts.  He is that bad.

I would laugh my ass off if Howie could pull that off. That’s why it was a hypothetical "if” scenario.

Thought he got acquitted. Am I mixing this up with a different crime he committed? Doesn’t matter, career and life are over.

If I remember correctly there were 2 separate women the first I think was acquitted , though I could be misremembering, don't quote me...

After this has been reported do you think some team still takes a late round flyer on him?  Cough cough Cowboys?
