One guy I'd love but no way it happens, Quay Walker. Beast. Physical, big, fast. Sky high ceiling. Howie would rather undersized fastballs and converted safeties though.

We do need to fix our defense.

Problem is, Howie doesn't know how.

Unless you're taking him at 18, you're probably not getting him.

Draft day is upon us.  So who are we picking this evening?

I like Burks alot, his game speed is much faster than his timed speed.

A guy like Brian Westbrook only ran a 4.45 yet on the field he was often the fastest guy.

Burks has that type of game speed and explosion.

I agree. With the slotting for this draft all over the place, I want to see them take guys with great size and athleticism for their positions with high ceilings. In mid R1 for me that’s Williams (deep speed), Davis (athleticism for his huge size), Burks (size and explosiveness), Elam (length), Hamilton (size). I’d love to see Davis and a small trade down taking either Burks if they go WR or Elam if they go CB. Davis and Hamilton is a pipe dream.

When in doubt, just pick someone who destroyed guys in the SEC. A Williams/Davis combo is my pipe dream.

That's cool.

A lot  of gms probably feel the same, especially in this draft where guys seem to be all over.

Coming right up😉

I do like the thought of having a big, physical WR to go along with Smith and Watkins though.  If they take one of Williams, Olave or Wilson, then you have 3 WR all hovering around 6-0 and under 200.  That's a pretty small WR group.

Now, you bring in a 6-2 225 lb WR and that really changes the dynamics of the WR room.

Mid round right?

The Eagles should pick around the same time the Sixers game ends.

Therefore, please be specific with regards to whom you are hating.

Trading for Deebo.

If this draft goes like the rest of the offseason we'll hear that Howie almost traded up to get an exciting player but it fell through

He's projected bottom 1st - top 2nd now. He's even getting preference over Dean now due to size.

Jameson Williams and Jordan Davis have reached the stage of being in too many peoples mocks for the Eagles that there’s no chance either happens now

With 2 firsts, it's likely we'll get one of them.

Also, Smith was the most mocked player to us last yeaar.

Yep if you look at Howie's draft picks on defense in the last decade you'll throw up and/or punch a wall

Cool, we can see two bricks across two different sports simultaneously

The whole first 10 picks were easily mapped out last year, almost in order. This draft is worlds different and in that range where teams do funky stuff.

Low 20's he should be there. Howie would never at 18. The valuuuuuu, god forbid!!!

I wanna trade up.

I wanna stay put.

I'm a fricken mess.

Well here it is boys, after months of discussion, mocks, a trade and anticipation, we are finally to the day where we will be severely disappointed.  Try not to break anything in your house when the picks are announced.

Unless Hurts is traded, then break everything in celebration.

Yeah I realize that, but I just see him as a round 2 guy. I don' see any LB getting drafted until the mid 1st, and I don't think quay is the first off the board (Lloyd feels like the guy). Dean is just a better football player, and that is not a knock on walker he is solid.

Big trade up: Jermaine Johnson II, Thibodeaux, Stingley, Sauce

Smaller trade up: Garrett Wilson, Jameson Williams, Hamilton, Davis

Stay at 15 & 18: Olave, McDuffie, Davis, Hamilton, Booth

Trade back late 1st: Booth, Elam, Karlaftis, Burks, Skyy Moore, Mafe, Ojabo, Cine, Travis Jones, Wyatt, Hill

I am a bit out on Dean. Gimme Walker or then Muma round 2. I would be "ok" if they actually draft Lloyd, I just don't think they would as he's 24.

Eagles Rd 1 draft board - 15 defenders and 1 WR - safely gets us to pick 18 when you account for the Tackles that will go before our picks.
WR: J Williams
DE: Hutchinson; Walker; Thibs; Karlaftis; Johnson
DT: Davis
LB: Lloyd
CB: Gardner; Stingley; McDuffie; Elam; Booth
S: Hamilton; Hill; Cine
Do Not Want: London, Burks
