Apparently there's some injury/surgery thing. I never looked into it though.

No testing numbers due to quad injury, hernia surgery. Limited production, lots of missed tackles.

He passes the eye test though.

I'd say the comp for horse crap is bull crap.

Agreed. What is the percentage of draft busts in round one?

How come they never comp Pickett to Ryan Leaf?

In a world of click bait and sounds bites, especially right before the draft, yes it is idiocy. Just stay quiet and try to learn something.

also let remember the HE rule for tonight. No tipping picks for attention.

I never give a pick early.  Never have

I’ve never seen him get separation and he refused to run his 40. Looks like he’s slow. 50/50 catches on every play in the NFL are bound for disaster.

He has multiple times to run the 40 and never did it. Shows he is hiding his lack of speed to me and thus lack of separation

It might be the lack of arm strength and addiction to pain killers.

Hasn't helped the Jags over the years... or Jets... or Lions...

The Jags will continue to be there when they select Walker at #1.

Kind of hoping for the Jags to be terrible again so Lawrence wants out.

Those comps are awful, some are flashy with no substance and others key in on shared similarities. Overall, comps are 95% bull crap, but they sure can be fun.

Sports hernia.

It sucks for sure.  I'm very vocal on here how much I hate seeing our rivals get good players.

I'm pretty confident that NYG or Washington will come away with some sort of combination of Olave, Stingley, Gardner or Thibedeoux.

Dallas will certainly pick guys with character questions who have potential to be studs.

Dallas has Devonte Wyatt written all over them. Lol

How many drafts have turned a team around that season - down the road yes, but as rookies?

And the impact of a draft tends to reflect the entire package, i.e., not just the 1st rd picks, but the depth and the surprises in the middle rounds.

Typical team lands 2+ solid starters out of a draft, if you find 3 you're ahead of the game, 4+ and you've had a franchise building draft.

If the Eagles land 3 starters out of their first 5 picks and 1 more with the other 5, it's a great draft.

Devonta Smith looks weird

You mean like the Eagles?  Yeah, so glad we beat all of these Covid riddled teams with 3rd string QB's in the second half of the year.  That joke of a playoff game was sure worth not being saddled with the pressure of picking in the top 10 this year.

😬 you just hold onto things dont you?

Must be weird being a prospect whose watching the draft from home and having 32 teams send you hats and random merch to put on if they draft you

Nah, it’s mule crap.  The comp for bull crap is cowpads.

my first thought too. My eyes went: Jersey --> player (now confused) --> Chip (ahhh okay, that bum)

I hate seeing the Giants with 2 picks so early in the draft.

The funny part is they will get good players up there, but stick with Daniel Jones at QB.

They can just get a QB next year if need be.

Think of the yard sale money you could make

He also didn't have a reception over 40 yards.

Has anyone suggested that the draft this weekend will turn this team around this season?  Even one person?   If so, I've missed it.

You are correct, the impact of a draft is based on the entire package.  Impact from 2016 draft... only Seumalo remains.  2017 draft... Barnett remains... by a fingernail.  2019? Dillard, they are desperate to remove.  Sanders, likely gone soon.  JJAW moved to TE before he's cut.  The rest are already gone.  2020?  Reagor...boo.  Hurts.. not a franchise QB. Taylor can't get on the field.  Wallace can't earn his way onto the field.  Driscoll can't stay healthy.  Hightower can't stick on the roster.  Bradley ST only.  Watkins promising but still unknown.  Wanogho and Toohill booted.   Great return from those draft classes.  One OG from 2016 that might not be able to get on the field.  2017, one guy left that shouldn't have been brought back.  2019, all soon to be gone too, and 2020... Only Hurts making any meaningful impact, and he's not good enough at the most important position.

Great work by Howie.  2018 is his saving grace, and that's a TE (low value position), rotational DE, slot CB (lowest value of the DBs) and a LT (high value position).  3 starters?  Meh.  2 starters and 2 almost starters (starting by default doesn't count - It needs to be a starter that the team isn't desperately trying to replace).

But, I agree... if Howie can get 4 starters from this draft, it would be a great draft.  When was the last time he did that?

Would be sad if you only get stuff sent from a handful of teams.
