There's no way that all this WR talk isn't a smokescreen at this point. We have no reason to trade up more than maybe 2/3 spots for a WR.

The ONLY players I'm ok with them trading up to 8 for:

Kayvon Thibodeaux, Travon Walker, Aidan Hutchinson, Sauce Gardner, Derek Stingley, Jermaine Johnson. Period. If it's for a WR, I'm gonna go back in my Delorean and punch Mrs. Roseman in the uterus. If they want a wideout, move up to 13 with 15 and a 3rd and get Davis then move down from 18 and get 20 and a 3rd and grab Burks.

If Washington wants Olave, 11 to 15 works too. Would cost a late 3...that Washington doesn't have due to Carson Wentz trade.

Final predictions for tonight boys... Which 2 players we taking

I'll guess Jermaine Johnson at 12 and Booth at 22

GMF this morning speculated the run on WRs will be before 10.  That would explain their talk with ATL.  Still too much to give up for a WR move.

If Sauce is there at 8 it will be a miracle.

Could see this:

1-Walker

2-Hutchinson

3-Ikwonu

4-Stingley

5-Neal

6-Cross

7-Thibodeaux

That leaves Sauce at 8.

Hot Sauce

Yeah, but he isn't worth two firsts.

It’s very possible. Jags and lions likely go DE. HOU is the wildcard here, but a T makes sense. Jets likely go DE, they need pass rusher more than CB. Giants have to go T at 5 because of Carolina behind them. Carolina probably goes T or QB. Giants at 7 is hard to slot here. So NYG & HOU would be the tough ones to slot here

I thought Jordan Davis for a while. Starting to get confident Howie might pull off Thibodeaux. Get it done, Howie!

That's why they are moving up for Kenny PIckett

Howie has to be the smartest guy in the room. He will do something stupid like that.

If Giants are smart they would go Gardner and then they can choose the 1 or 2 T that's not taken by Carolina. Gardner/Neal or Cross > Ickey/Stingley

But Carolina won’t go CB, so wouldn’t you rather pick the best available T & then have option of Stingley or Gardner, or possibly also Hamilton. Of course unless a Carolina trade happens.

Watch this be the lamest draft in history. No trades, just everyone taking a bunch of C's from Iowa and run stoppers from Georgia.

I’m sure this was already expected, but

If Sauce makes it to 6 I fully expect him to be taken at 6 by someone. He's the best prospect in the class IMO ignoring positional value.

I hope this is true because I don't want him on the board when Giants pick

That seems strange to me with there not being a lot of top tier talent in the 1st. I feel like you just take two blue chip players and move on with your day. Trying to get too cute when your franchise is bottom of the barrel is how you get stuck there.

It feels like there are a lot more sellers than buyers in the 1st round. The cost to move up might be cheaper than usual.

And that report about us giving up 2 1sts to get to #8 is insane -- it's just uninformed speculation from a Falcons' blog.

Well I guess I’m wrong on my take a few minutes ago. Hughes is my go to Jets guy so I’ll take his word on this. But yeah, much rather Sauce goes to Jets

So, I met someone at work yesterday who had a relative that lives in Philly. That relative had a friend who used to sell philly pretzels in the parking lot. One time he sold a pretzel to our assistant LBs coach, and they built a bit of a friendship to where the assistant LB coach will give him a tip of the cap when walking by. I asked this person at work who knows a friend who is friends with the assistant LB coach if they have heard anything interesting on the draft.

They just texted me back and said "This is the craziest draft I have seen in over 30 years."

And why is it that every single year people want to say its the craziest draft theyve seen?

Cover for when they are completely wrong about everything.

Surprised that there hasn't been a trade yet. Wasn't expecting a lot before the draft but at least one.
