Seems like there were two guys left that they wanted - Jordan Davis and Jermaine Johnson. Both were probably going to be gone if they didn't trade up. Eagles need one QB taken in top 15. Didn't happen.

To leap frog the Ravens I think it has to be for a defensive player since that is what they are always hitting on in the first.  The year the Seahawks drafted Earl Thomas we had to get mookie.  The year they got him we didn't get him but we got them.  

Been saying for weeks it was going to be Davis if he fell to the 11-13 range. They wanted to jump the ravens because the ravens would really like Davis. I think the eagles view Cox as gone after this year. And is entering his last year of his contract. Davis is huge and very athletic for his size. Plus I’m guessing the eagles believe he can get even better as a pass rusher at the nfl level.

I'd be for it.  People in this blog are down on Davis but he is a rare freak athletic human.  That is the upside you go for if it falls into your range.
