I don't love a hole plugging DT in the passing NFL in round 1...especially when we JUST gave big money to Cox and Hargrave.  But Davis is a unique prospect who will start for many years here.

Howie did a reasonable job with the board he was dealt.

So the Hobson’s choice is double teaming Milton Williams or Jordan Davis, praying a chip helps stop Sweat, possibly giving Reddick a free path to the QB and one of Barnett or Jackson also pushing. Changes dynamics of the DL.

He may be nothing more than an exceptional 2 down DT, but he's athletic enough to move around the line, split out at 3-4 DE, etc. When you have Davis, Williams and Kearse in the game, you have a DL that can run sideline to sideline.
