It's early, but what percentage of snaps does Davis play this year?

My guess would be 45%. He’s still young, raw, and his body needs some recompositioning.

Hargrave will play 90%+ so will $14mm Cox and our 1st round pick split? Where does Milton come in?

Our top 3 in targets last year were 104, 76 and 62.  The are not getting 80-100 targets each.

I hope the expectations were set with Brown that he is entering a run first offense with a QB that has actually regressed throwing the football. I’m sure he doesn’t care bc he got paid, but his numbers and targets are about to plummet significantly with Hurts running around behind a clean pocket.  Tannehill is light years ahead of Hurts as a passer, and that is embarrassing.

I don’t know if this is sarcastic but the two starters played around 65% each last year. Williams was 40%. Davis is likely around 40ish percent and I think Williams plays more DE than last year.

How does Miles Sanders ever get the ball?  Brown, Smith, and Goedert should get 80-100 targets each, and when Nick does run the ball Hurts will just be pulling it from his belly to take off himself

Based on the offense we saw last year and who Hurts is as a passer, I think Goedert will be the target leader in this offense and it won’t be close. With the current QB, this is not a WR-centric offense. They will start the season trying to make it a WR oriented offense and with a pass-oriented style, but if/when they get off to a slow start we will see the type of offense that we saw in the second half of last season. I’d expect Gainwell to surpass Sanders as RB1 on this team whether it’s due to Sanders getting banged up again or Gainwell rising up and taking the job.

i'd say Milton spells Hargrave and Davis spells Cox

Don't love or hate the Jordan Davis pick. Obviously he is a freak athlete and a national champion from a top SEC program. I also have no problem giving up 4th and 5th round picks to move up to get him. I just have some concerns about his pass rush ability, and how much he will be able to play at his weight. HUGE upside though.

The trade and contract extension for AJ Brown was a fn home run. Anyone complaining about it should go take a bath in rusty razor blades.

Looking forward to day two I'm hoping for them to go BPA at a few positions including CB, DE, LB, and S. I hope like hell they don't go OL or RB.

Also I expect the honey badger to be signed by next week.

"You’re going to go from a run first offense with a QB that will get you the ball to a run a first offense that will struggle to get you the ball but we will pay you like a top 5 WR” seems like a fair trade to me

After he gets 80 targets and 700 yards in a run heavy offense, he will be fine with a new QB

We’ll see, he knows what Hurts is, they’re close friends.

I see no future issues, seems like a stand up dude.

The hate for Hurts on this board is laughably overblown. Tannehill is better but barely and Hurts is still developing. AJ Brown will do just fine here.

I like the Brown trade because it’s a win-win regarding what happens at QB after next season. Either Hurts becomes the guy next season and flourishes with what looks like a pretty stacked offense on paper. Or he doesn’t and whoever they go with at QB in 2023 is walking into a very good situation. I don’t mind the extension they gave Brown because they’re not shelling out a mega-deal contract at QB any time soon. They’re either getting another couple years with Hurts on his rookie deal or resetting the clock with a rookie QB in 2023.

I’d be a little surprised if we got a 4th for him tbh. Im thinking a 5th. Issue is if you wait a year and he’s the fourth wide receiver then his numbers aren’t look great anyways. at that point he only has one year left on his contract. So you’re likely going to get even less then if you did it this year and let another team take the chance with two years remaining.

got to remember they also signed pascal and have Greg ward.

OH yeah forgot about Pascal. He's 100% making Sirianni's squad. If we have any surprise WR's in TC, Reagor could even get cut. Good point

Wait till you see the look on Brown’s face when/if the Eagles move on from Hurts. I’d expect something like Lamar’s tweet tonight.

I was thinking the same thing.  But if they move on from Hurts its because he couldn't play at a high enough level.  If he isn't throwing AJ and Devonta accurate passes and hurting their production then I think they will understand moving on from him.  Hell, I think Devonta might already be there.

Many of these draft prospects have super hot moms

I heard the reason Jermaine Johnson II slipped in the draft is that scouts thought his mom just wasn't hot enough to have birthed an upper half of the 1st round draft pick.

Swap Reagor for Shenault and use him as a jack of all trades? Rather do that than just trade Reagor for like a 6th

On what planet would Jacksonville give up Shenault for Reagor?

I wouldn't mind adding another RB.  Sanders always gets hurt and then you have Gainwell.  Need to add another young back.  Plenty of good ones to get in the later rounds.

Rumblings were they wanted to get rid of Shenault. It's not like he's been great for them. You say that like I'm talking about trading Reagor for Justin Jefferson lol.

Without other moves being made, don’t think they can go with a luxury pick like RB

Jalen Hurts is 23

AJ Brown is 24

Devonta Smith is 23

Quez Watkins is 23

Miles Sanders is 24

Dallas Goedert is 27

Jordan Mailata is 25

Landon Dickerson is 23

Feels like 2010 all over again

Man….I still can’t get over us trading for AJ Brown.

And to pair him with DeVonta.

Both have a legit shot at ending up the GOAT Eagles WR.

Who are trade chips? Dillard obviously. Reagor won’t fetch much if anything. Minshew? Sanders? Hargrave?
