I'm guessing no one is surprised deebo hasn't been traded yet. Glad we got the right WR this time.

Without other moves being made, don’t think they can go with a luxury pick like RB

Yeah they'd have to make some other moves.  I'd imagine most of their remaining picks would be defense.

Out of teams who entered/ended this draft with multiple first rd picks, I think Jets/Eagles/Giants/Ravens/Lions did the best. That’s probably how I’d rank them too. Not crazy about Texans or Saints really. Thought Chiefs & Packers wasn’t good. Jags I’m iffy on, if it works out could be really good but Walker is a big time gamble.

Really liked the Vikings/Bengals/Chargers/Panthers/Seahawks picks. Bills was decent.

Commanders reached, but still should be decent player opposite McLaurin.

Cowboys & Patriots are competing for worst picks.

Sounds bout right, would love Obajo as a redshirt. Wouldn't mind ebikite.. Is he still on the board? Maybe Mafe

I thought about mafe and ebikite for my picks in the masters of the draft. But i don’t see either making it 19 picks and we don’t really have the capital to move up to get them. I’d be surprised if mafe and ebikite make it past the lions at 46. There’s a lot of teams that need pass rushers from 33-46 (bears, lions, Seahawks, Texans, falcons). Imo those two are the two best DE on the board right now. I’d love for mafe to fall. I really like him a lot. I just don’t see it. Plus i think if it came close for either one at 51 teams that also have the need likely try to jump us knowing we don’t really have the capital to make the move up.

The more I reflect the more I think the Eagles should sign Mathieu and draft a DE in the 2nd and a CB in the 3rd. Use Dillard to move up from 51 to get a better DE. Should be some solid CBs around 83.

I’m keen on trading Dillard to move up, who's picking in first 18 picks that needs a LT? Bears are probably most obvious at 39 and 48. Question is would Bears trade back 12 spots for Dillard?

Good players are going to cost money. I rather trade for a young known commodity than let Howie try to pick a WR. Brown isn’t much older than rookies being drafted this year.

How did stingley go before sauce?

True enough.. Guess there's no room to complain. Have to pay Howie his respects anyway maybe we go secondary but i see no one there either as u stated before.

Any LT that can start for you and play at least average should get somewhere between a late 2nd-early 4th rounder depending on how desperate the team is. 51 + Dillard should get us to 39.

Should but probably not.

Interesting guy to me is Logan Hall. Reminds me of a bigger version of Milton Williams in that he is versatile and can play inside and outside. Basically what you got from curry, Graham and now Williams. However he’s big at 6’6 and 283. He has good athleticism. I imagine the eagles would love to use Williams, hall, sweat and Davis alongside each other. can move Williams and Hall around to try confusing offensive. Hall and Davis have a lot of size to them and athleticism for their size.

Yea I think it’s a decent trade swap. 2nd round to start until 39 is Bucs/Vikings/Titans/Giants/Texans/Jets. If we want a CB, mainly Booth here, Vikings/Titans/Giants are biggest threats there. Think Bucs go DL. Obviously Jets/Texans are good at CB now. So barring a trade up that’s what we’re looking at.

I’m not a Wentz or Hurts guy.

But it’s really funny to me that we couldn’t get the best passer we’ve had in years any great weapons, yet the worst passer we’ve had in years gets one of the most promising pass catching group we’ve had in probably 10 years

I actually thought about that after they announced the trade for aj brown. I found it funny we’ve complained about the offensive weapons in 2019 and 2020 and it not being good enough. But now we managed to have brown, smith, goedert, Watkins and sanders which might be the best weapons the eagles have had since the super bowl year. There is an argument to be made our WRs might be better than that year and more sustainable.

Our roster is primed to take Ojabo and let him redshirt a year. Barnett will keep his seat warm. Sweat-Davis-Williams-Ojabo our starting line in 2024

I guess when your "franchise qb" acts like a spoiled brat instead of a leader then maybe FO figured he didn't deserve great weapons.

Wentz is his own worst enemy. All he had to do was wait, be patient, and he could have this group of weapons, and the best O-Line in the game.

But he wanted to chase greener pastures. Didn't work out for him, but hey, worked out for us as he is clearly not a franchise QB anymore.

Here's hoping Howie can get us that QB in next year's draft, because this offense is primed for take-off, just needs a pilot.

Eh i think it was more the eagles kept making mistakes such as drafting JJAW and reagor over Justin Jefferson. And trading for desean at his ripe old age and needing him to be a starter.

Teams I’d worry about having that same mindset as the red shirt from 33 to 50 are tampa (have another second rounder and can see them making that selection), titans (they took Simmons when he was hurt), lions (gonna suck anyway), seattle (similar to lions), bears (need a pass rusher and new regime so have time to wait). Also could see a team bills moving up to make that type of move.

but i do agree eagles could make that move and redshirt him a year. They have the talent along the DLine to afford to wait especially if they believe he can be their next Graham.

My bad that was sarcasm. Also i dont want JJAW mentioned among WRs from this day forth. Pick will forever make me sick. I'd draft London over him 😂. Reagor idk what he was thinking, maybe saw a potential T. Hill is my justification which still was dumb. U cant go wrong drafting WRs from LSU its dang near impossible.

I 100% think the reagor pick was about deep vertical threat and speed. I do think they saw what the chiefs that year and wanted to add that type of element to the team, which in 2018 they really didn’t have. We were a methodical type offense as tate really wasn’t the WR they badly needed at the deadline, agholor was inconsistent on the outside as deep threat, alshon was slow, ertz and goedert were great tandem and tough matchups but aren’t homerun threats at tight end. They really lacked speed and homerun threat. all 3 WRs they drafted that year were had vertical stretch speed. Sadly the only one that panned out to be solid to good was quez

I hated the JJAW pick. I didn’t get the need for that pick then. I actually think they wanted mecole hardman and the chiefs jumped them for him and they just went with another WR after they missed out. i thought there were multiple players on the board who were better players and at position of needs. I’d be shocked if he’s still in the league longer than 1-2 years after he’s cut here. that pick pissed me off because there was multiple good safeties on the board who were better players and a bigger position of need. the Eagles only wanted to find the replacement for Alshon Jeffery. Meanwhile they went and then restructured his contract a couple months after making that selection. There was definitely a need for safety as Jenkins was getting old and Rodney McLeod was coming off an injury. I didn’t complain about not taking DK cause i could understand the neck injury scaring them off (even though i liked him in that draft at that spot). I was upset they didn’t fix a short and long term issue at safety with who was there.

The Vikings traded down from 12 to 32 just to get an extra 3rd rounder and move up a little in the second round… only to take a Safety when Kyle Hamilton was available at 12?

That is the most puzzling draft trade I’ve ever seen

It’s like the craziest thing in 30 years.

I like what they did last night but they really need to find a way to add some extra picks. It takes two to tango obviously but here a few trades which are close on the trade chart that might make sense for the Eagles moving down from 51.

Bucs for 60 and 106. Niners for 61 and 105. Chiefs for 62 and 103. Bengals for 63 and 95.

Or, Howie is just inept at drafting WRs.
