If you are focused on drafting for year 1 starters, you are way too narrow

I didn't say starter and it's not crazy to assume that a 2nd round pick will do a little something his rookie year.

We could have drafted his actual replacement in the next draft. Center wasn't that big of a need this draft

Yep, common sense. We have one of the best C's in the league a few other guys who can play the position. Calling it a need is flat out stupidity.

Center was NOT a need dummy. It's a need next year IF Kelce retires which to this point he hasn't announced publicly at least. Meanwhile we are starting a guy named Zech at CB and Harris and Epps at S. Those are needs, not a postion where they have an all pro and other guys capable of playing the position. Piss off.

Relax. It is a need. You're not just drafting for 2022. What happens if you can't get a good center next year?

I am honestly not worried about safety position. The depth at safety in this years draft is crazy. The Eagles should be able to grab two if needed. We need to address CB though and I can’t think of any good CBs left. But we will see

There is quite a few

Ok. Something must seriously be wrong with Dean

We said the exact same thing about Dickerson last year.

No, we didn’t.

I removed him about an hour before the draft

Damn. I kept him on and debated locking him in. Went another direction for the lock.

Lololololol he mad. Watch the video of Kelce reacting to this pick. It’s his handpicked successor. Literally.

Plenty of CBs left…Emerson, Woolen, Armour-Davis, McCollum, etc.

I think it’s time for a few of us to admit that Dean isnt seen as all that. There have been 4 lbs that have gone before him in this round.

He lost me at, his favorite player in the draft

Why are they announcing every DE/EDGE as a linebacker? Weird.

So I guess Stouland is an average coach

Zyon McCollum intrigues me.

NFL comparison is Richard Sherman.

Small school prospect with stellar production.

Tall, lanky ball hawk.

Philly in a nutshell:

Yesterday: Phils sweep, Sixers clinch, Eagles get top 8 WR and top DT in draft.

Today: Phils getting no-hit through six innings, Embiid out indefinitely with orbital fracture, Eagles use 51st pick on a guy who may not play this season.

It wasn’t my first choice, but with Ojabo, Brisker and others gone, I get it. Gotta keep the OL strong for the new QB next year.

it just sucks they haven’t addressed CB or edge at all in this draft. They always miss out on the meaty parts of drafts it seems every year.

I feel he is too good to pass up around this spot. Something has to be majorly wrong.

Eagles take Ariaza at 83 and I cancel my trip tomorrow

Maybe we can add a late round pick when we trade Jeff Feagles after selecting Ariaza.

maaaan. Cook now.

There look like there will be CBs who can start in round 3, and round 4.

Hurts to see another S go. We gotta get JT Woods or Cross.

Well, this has been a disappointing night after the high last night. A center for the Eagles, and the Sixers lose a center.

Gonna need the edibles to kick in soon.

Damn Andy Reid can draft well lol

I needed this chuckle

It’s been widely reported that his medicals are bad. (Sorry if that’s been posted in here a bunch… I’m just skimming).

It’s not quite that simple. What C next draft? In what round? How can we be sure they’ll be there? Also, why not let him learn from Kelce and see how a borderline HOF C goes about his business for a year. I have to think Stoutland liked the kid. And a bunch of good players at other positional needs just went before us. It’s not a fun or sexy pick, but if he becomes even 80% as good as Kelce, it sets us up for a long time at an important position. I was hoping for DE, S or LB, but we’re setting up the offense nicely to be a desirable destination for a QB.
