How is Herbig only 23 years old when it feels like he's been here for awhile? That's basically a rookie age.

COVID vaccine? Hell no, I'm not putting that poison in my body.

PEDs? Well, statistically only X% of people have side effects.

Makes sense.

Could have just been cold medicine. IIRC the league is very picky

Did not see this one coming.  Why went thru the RFA signing and right away get released?  Even he is not a lock at RG, he should be in the mix with a reasonable chance of taking the position.

As much as I wanted the Eagles to sign him, it's putting a 2-3 year band-aid at the S position

That’s true, if a young guy gets a chance and works out that would be even better.

It’s just our need there is huge and we got plenty picks coming up so a 2 year bandaid was all we needed.

Weird that no one offered anything for Herbig.  Is the plan at RG coming down to Jurgens/Dillard?  Is Seumalo in the running?

We could have a bandaid if the Ravens are shopping Clark

Herbig is nothing special.  no real loss here.  worth a shot trying to get a late rounder for him but clear up some space and let Driscoll, Jurgens, Dillard, Seumalo battle it out.

'Agreed to release him', probably comes down to the same deal as Foles.  "I'll give you until the draft to find a trade partner for me; if you can't, please give me my release so I can be a FA"

And he offers valuable depth.

My guess is Seumalo

He has started 17 games for us and when he has filled in due to injuries he has played pretty well. I wouldn't call that "no real loss"

Howie stood firm on that 6th round grade and ended up gettin nuffin

Makes no sense.

You need a landscaper.  Just get some weed kill spray.  That’s what I do.  And I’m one of a few on our street that does it.  I don’t understand why people are so lazy.

Herbig was tendered at a level that he could have signed with another team without comp.  No one signed him

Herbig is actually younger than DeVonte Wyatt.

Reagor is 6th on the deep chart.

When does he ask for his release. Or given his release.

Imgiane  being the 6th WR on the lowest passing team in the league. FKKKKKKK

edit* when you add in the RB and Goedert, he's like the 11th option.

Eagles will not release him and take on additional dead money.

What does everyone think of Ashtyn Davis and making a possible trade for him?

I'd be surprised if Jurgens got a shot at the starting role. Probably gets reps so he can be active on game days, but I'd imagine they want most of his focus at center.

Seumalo is the clear favorite at RG. They love him. But if it's an open comp, I'd be very interested to see who would win between Seumalo, Driscoll, and Dillard, who I'm sure wants to play by any means necessary at this point.

I like Herbig, but paying 2.5M for OL #9 was too much. I also get it from Herbig's perspective. He wants to play and cash in for 2023.

Fair on both sides if Howie couldn't find a trade partner.

Once Herbig showed to be terrible at center his value was gone for the Eagles.  They have a lot of guys who can backup OG

Jurgens and Dillard are both going to get a legit shot at RG. Let's see who takes it.

And Driscoll looked really good there too. And then there’s Seumalo..

Yeah ok, I get it now.

I don’t use roundup.  I use a different kind with my own sprayer bottle.   Yeah.   I’m "that guy” when it comes to my lawn.

People are still f-ing lazy.

Have a putting green in the backyard?

How is she doing?

She's doing very well, other than being exhausted. Zero visible effects from the stroke. There had been a complete loss of feeling on the left side (though no loss of functionality), and full feeling began to return to normal on Friday.

She's weak, but able to get around.

The whole best friend thing with Hurts and AJ Brown worries me a bit.  Add to the fact that Brown has admitted he fights depression (nothing wrong with it, just an important factor) could this whole thing end up a disaster?  What if Hurts doesn't improve and the Eagles move on from him?  Is his best friend, now teammate going to be OK with that?  Not saying that will happen but this is Philly.  We're not strangers to WR fighting mental issues.

I wonder if they'll hand Seumalo the job or have the two fight it out in camp

Cutting Herbig saves about 1.4M in net savings too.
