So yes, I absolutely think they forgot about the importance of the position and just got a reminder.

Don’t see why Rodgers would want to go to the AFC anymore.

Interestingly, SF is the only team in the NFC that should interest Rodgers.  Of course, SF has a major investment in Lance and GB wants him in the AFC.

The first Giants game, and the six or seven other games where we had less than 80 passing yards going into the fourth quarter should have been reminder enough. This whole "Hurts hater” nonsense hurts brain. 
 

it’s not "Hurts hating” to understand that if your QB can’t read a defense, can’t throw accurately, and can’t get the ball out quickly, then you can’t sustain drives. And if you can’t sustain drives, you can’t score points and keep your defense off the field. You can beat bad teams by running the ball a lot, but you can’t beat good ones and you can’t come from behind. It’s a bunch of fools gold, at best. People point out that Devonta broke the eagles rookie receiving record with Hurts. But imagine his numbers if we could have sustained drives in those pathetic games. If we had a QB that could utilize his route running. It’s not hate. We all wanted Hurts to succeed. He just didn’t, and the things he needs to improve are innately there or not. And they’re just not.

Broncos at least has enough talent to lure Rodgers there also, not sure their cap situation though.

I don't think they needed a reminder, sticking with Hurts was more of a necessity this year than anything.

They collected 3 first rounders to go get their guy, if Watson had agreed to waive his NTC in September, it would have already been done.

Need to adjust the OT rule for the playoffs.  The current version is fine for the regular season.

For Brady, seeing 27-3 NOT become a thing was priceless.

 

Of course - more knee jerk rule changes. Maybe in the interest of player safety, no OT during the regular season.

Maybe just play the OT period out and flip a coin for the winner, if still tied (since the current narrative is that a coin toss is determining winners anyway).

Maybe just keep the rules as is - and expect that the defense should play better than the Washington Generals.

I hope they do. There is no way anyone could watch that game and think Hurts can reach that level, or anything close to it. Maybe this forces them to think twice about rolling with hurts going forward

Watson or Ridder are the only most likely options this off-season.
