January 24, 20223 yr Football is still football. You win and lose games at the line of scrimmage. The Eagles should stay the course and fix the DLINE in the draft. We need an infusion of talent across the board there.
January 24, 20223 yr Line play is extremely important, but Burrow was sacked 9 times and still won. And Brady was battered all day and came back to tie it. QB play was more important than line play this weekend. Ideally, you have a great QB and great lines. But it's easier to build lines than find great QBs.
January 24, 20223 yr Just pointing out Gabriel Davis had more tds in that game and in his career then reagor had all year and was only 98 receiving yards from matching his season total. Davis also had 3 more tds then JJAW has had in his entire career and only 89 yards less than jjaw’s career total.

Equal opportunities. Exactly what I was thinking tonight after that game. It's fine for the regular season, but they shouldn't end another playoff game like this again. A coin shouldn't determine who wins and yes their defense had a chance to stop them, but KC's defense could have folded the same way. I'm still disgusted with how that game ended and I'm not even a Bills fan. Then again the decision not to do a squib kick was idiotic.
January 24, 20223 yr Just watching that game last night made me sad. That's what real QB play looks like and how teams move behind a competent arm.. I had almost forgotten.

"The rules are what they are, and I can't complain about that 'cause if it was the other way around, we'd be celebrating, too," he said. "So, it is what it is at this point. We didn't make enough plays tonight." See... he gets it.

Brady tied it because the Rams fell apart and started playing stupid. Had they stayed the course. Brady wouldn't have come close

January 24, 20223 yr Well my remaining hope is that the Bungles somehow beat the Chiefs. On the NFC side anyone who is left is fine by me.

Sure seems like they should tweak it again, to add up 15 yard penalties together or something to that effect. The clock in that situation is the only important thing. If they haven’t tweaked that it’s not fixed.

Maybe just play the OT period out and flip a coin for the winner, if still tied (since the current narrative is that a coin toss is determining winners anyway). Maybe just keep the rules as is - and expect that the defense should play better than the Washington Generals. I agree. If it’s ever changed the only thing I’d like considered would be a continuation of 4th quarter. If it’s 2nd and 9 at your own 26 yard line, that’s where OT starts. First score wins, that’s why it’s called sudden death.

January 24, 20223 yr My main take away from the games this weekend: Of the 8 teams that played 6 have top level QBs. I know some in here think that Herbert is close to that group, with guys like Dak, Murray, Wilson the next tier. So let's say 7 QBs. 22% of the league has a really really good to great QB. 78% of the league are the Eagles or worse. Understandable the Eagles obsession with getting the QB right. Defensive line: Eagles is bad so I can see this draft using 3 picks through round 5 of the draft on the line. One way this could altered is if they get head over heels for a QB and move up to get him. Could be Willis, maybe Picket, possibly Strong. One thing for sure, they were reminded of what a strong arm can do so Willis and Strong will get a lot of scrutiny and attention.
January 24, 20223 yr Since we're talking QBs, the biggest winner of the day is Malik Willis. There will be a team who sees his tools and says they can coach him up to be an elite QB. I think there's a real chance he goes top 15 as long as he interviews well.

Yeah, he’s really intriguing tools-wise. I have yet to see him play well in any game I’ve watched, but I could have said the same about Josh Allen. Obviously his supporting cast stinks, so maybe that’s the biggest issue.
