Ok.  Not sure what the point is... football is a complementary game.   Both sides play and both sides have to figure it out.  You only have to score more than your opponent on that particular day.   And that's why the OT rules are fine.  It isn't just about the offense.  It's about both at the same time.  So, you need to be able to defend... at least a little at the right time.

I was merely showing, hypothetically, 9 of the top scoring defenses made the playoffs, and none of them may get to the Super Bowl.  If the Rams and Chiefs make the Super Bowl, only 1 of the 7 top 10 scoring defenses that made the playoffs is getting to the Super Bowl.

I agree there. BUT, he's instantly the best QB under 30 in the NFC.

And still has a pile of issues that make me steer way clear and pass on overpaying for him in terms of draft capital and salary.

Last night proved that the defense was irrelevant.  No stops were made over the last 5 possessions.  In fact, it was no resistance by either defense the last 5 possession.  That was all elite QB play with no resistance.  Last team with the ball won.

Tom Brady on his podcast said it best, the NFL has turned into a skills contest of passing the football. 

That is what wins and what ultimately matters.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nkobe Dean is 5'10" or shorter. I would much rather target Devin Lloyd in the 1st or try to pickup Christian Harris in the 2nd.

Ok.  Then why all the fuss about Gannon.  Forget defense, forget trying to be aggressive.  Just be a doormat and hope that your QB can make all the shortcomings of the rest of the team go away.
