Gainwell RB3?

Make Hurts your back up QB. Otherwise what are you doing?

Who was the last Buckeye to make the roster, excluding Malcolm?

Cameron Johnston is the only one I can think of

If Kelce retires do you think they go with Isaac Seumalo or draft someone early?  Many of Seumalo's draft profiles if I remember correctly had his best position as a C.

Jeremiah has the Eagles taking Kenyon Green at 19.   I can see that possibility more than the Eagles taking Linderbaum at that range.  Green has more positional flexibility.  I can see the pick making sense given Brooks likely retirement and that both Seumalo and Dickerson can play center.

as long as the "QB factory" isn't using the same nethods in picking a QB that they did when picking Hurts, then we might have a shot. But if the exact same guys are using the exact same methods of determining who to pick?    I'm not liking our chances. You have a better shot at winning the lottery on Wednesday.

Hurts was drafted to be a Folesian savior of a powerhouse playoff team otherwise derailed by a Carson Wentz injury. Just like Reagor was drafted to be the missing downfield piece for said team. Hurts was never, ever earmarked as the franchise QB.

Howie's head is out of his ass now. He knows this isn't a Super Bowl team, and he knows Hurts probably won't flip the switch in 2022. The question is if the QB move happens now or next year.

Watching Wentz in 2017 was something else, it felt for a moment that we had the next great QB.

I thought we would dominate the NFL for the next decade with him at the helm.

One thing about his knee injury is it was closer to RG3’s injury than any other QB. Most guys tear meniscus, and the MCL when the ACL gets torn, plus the MCL typically always heals on its own.  Wentz tore the ACL,  he had IT band damage, meniscus damage, and the LCL ligament as well.   The LCL isn’t like the MCL, so Dr’s had to graft two ligaments, instead of just one.   He wasn’t the same after that injury.

No Gainwell at RB 2 or 3?

Because defense was so important yesterday? I'm here to tell you that if we have a good quarterback we can compete. Imagine a guy that can throw and then think about Smith, Watkins, and Goedert.  We can be competitive with 1 good move.

You are pipe dreaming.  The defense is losing four starters (maybe five, if we count Singleton)  and has a DL that the center of which may be gone next year.  This defense will struggle to stop anyone.  Without Hill and Kelce, Mahommes might struggle some.  I am not downplaying the play of Mahommes or Allen yesterday.  Good QB play is important to the success of the offense.  But do you really believe either QB would have succeeded without the play of there receivers.  Let’s dissect that.  The YAC of Hill and Hardman had as much to do with KC’s success as the throws and runs of Mahommes.  The route running by Davis and Kelce were huge factors.  I would argue Kelce’s route on that last 13 seconds was every bit as important as Mahommes throw.  One good move makes us more competitive on offense but defense and STs are a huge part of the game.  Aaron Rodgers didn’t lose to SF alone, GB’s STs had a huge part of that.

Yeah total oversight on my behalf... I kept thinking Scott and Howard but brain farted on Gainwell.  I'd like to see Gainwell play more in the slot also.

I would not have wasted a 2nd rd pick on Hurts. Nor a 1st on Reagor or a 2nd on JJAW. Thats why I am concerned about who and how they are doing the scouting.

If we are still doing it the same? We will get the same results.

Wait a minute -- Singleton too?!

I’ve thought about this a bunch. I know nothing about the players Linderbaum vs Green in terms of skill. But going on the premise that they are roughly the same level of player, one being a C and one being a G....

Taking Green makes sense because, like you said, Dickerson can play C. But Dickerson has proven to be a really good G. We haven’t seen him at C in the NFL. Obviously we haven’t seen either Linderbaum or Green in the NFL either.

But part of me says, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and leave Dickerson at G and draft a Kelce replacement. I’m assuming Linderbaum is a special talent to be considered in the first round. The biggest factor to me would be how they handle protections. They have Dickerson in house, so I’m sure they have a feel for his football IQ. But I think, unless Linderbaum is just not very bright, I’d rather draft him and leave Dickerson at G. But again, idk these players well enough to have an opinion

I don't think I am too crazy about it. There will be guys in round 2/3 that can play G that I don't think will be too far of a drop off from Green. Plus you have Driscoll and Isaac there to compete at RG along with a rook.

One thing that I still can't comprehend from last night's game.

An Andy Reid-coached team actually ended up with all three timeouts still available with 13 seconds to go?

Depends if you're asking Baldinger or not.

Didn't he once compare Jamar Chaney to Patrick Willis?

Also what do you think  of James Daniels as potential RG?  Will he cost to much in FA?

I think Kelce comes back.

LT- Mailata

LG- Dickerson

C- Kelce

RG- Seumalo

RT- Lane

One of the top olines in football stays together minus the retiring Brooks. I think a solid C prospect makes sense this year, like an Alec Lindstrom in the 3rd or later.

WR1- Smith

WR2- FA DJ Chark

WR3- Watkins

WR4- DRAFT Alec Pierce

WR5- RESIGN Ward

WR6- Reagor (sadly)

Chark brings affordable size and playmaking ability across from DeVonta. Pierce is my favorite WR on day 2. Ward is not bad as a backup slot guy (and emergency QB), and Reagor isn't getting cut this offseason unfortunately. Goodbye JJAW, we'll miss your blocking.

TE1- Goedert

TE2- DRAFT Cole Turner

TE3- Stoll or Jackson

Turner makes your 11 formations so much more threatening. They may keep 4 TE's again, as they do need a solid blocking TE (Stoll) and they love Tyree's potential.

RB1- Sanders

RB2- DRAFT Brian Robinson Jr.

RB3- RESIGN Scott

3DRB- Kenny Gainwell

Robinson is the thunder to Sanders lightning. Scott is a good goalline back and Gainwell is your 3rd down guy.

Yup.  Crazy turn of events.

Would like to pass on OL in FA. We have so many other needs + limited cap room for UFA spending.

Same here and I remember saying exactly the same thing in "here" (now the old board) the night of the SB

Felt like we had the world in the palm of our hands, MVP level QB coming back, returning 21 of 22 starters.....

Just fell apart one horrible draft pick at a time

Have to draft a Guard is what it is

Where did I say anything about receivers?  Are you now calling Smith and Goedert trash? Watkins? Give them either quarterback from yesterday and I think you see a very nice offense. Not to mention our oline is better than kc
