Every year there are a few 40 times/other tests that greatly change draft position. Guys like Chris Johnson, Dontari Poe, Vernon Davis, and Matt Jones shot up the board after the Combine.

A handful yes.

I'm so ready for Jimmy G to win it all. QB is of course the most important position, but it's still a sports team and you can win with average talent there.

Sure you can. With an amazing run game and a superb defense. Niners have a punchers chance next week. They’ve owned the Rams recently. But against KC? Can’t see it.

His medical eval will mean more than any other player not named Jameson Williams regarding where he falls in the draft.

Yes, that sure would be a nice first round.  It's possible to do that and get a 2nd day pick or two for 2023.

Dont screw around and get cute. Just take your guys

I like Green a lot. Nasty, good mobility, powerful lower body, really really good knee bend. Position versatile. He looks like a legit 325+ to me whereas Linderbaum may not even be 290. Driscoll is a very skilled guy but he lacks junk in the trunk and that's one place you can't build it no matter how many squats you do. Teams seem to be going to the really big NT/4i guys a little more than they used to so a bigger C is probably a good thing. All the same, Green projects as a guard, I think. With Seumalo taking over at C we'd be really well set. I realize I dither over Linderbaum but it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that because a guy reminds you of Kelce, he is Kelce. Well he ain't. There's a reason there's nobody like him.

Raises an interesting question. Kelce struggles with Vea b/c of his power.

Seumalo is sorta of a compromise, about 310 lbs, more able to hold his on but won't give you the same 2nd level movement (who will?).

Dickerson would be the power center, he's so strong he can stalmate and even move a NT like Vea.

Wonder if you trained a couple guys at center, would you pursue matchups against teams with extreme NTs.

Lots to chew on here. I’ll ponder a little. Thank you for raising these ideas.

More and more are thinking that way, PFN now has him as their 1st or 2nd QB taken.
I believe if his medicals turn out, and he tears it up at the Senior Bowl, he’ll go early first.
He can make throws the others can’t including  Pickett, but the wildcard is Sam Howell. A lot of draft pundits expected him to return to NC for next season.  He’s more polished than Tribusky was and has a lot more experience. When he had Dazz Newsome, and Dyami Brown to throw too, Howell was pretty good, this season he decided to run a lot  more because he didn’t have good receivers to work with.

The Lions coaching staff is working with Howell, Willis, and Zappe.
The Jets, get Pickett, Strong, and Ridder.

Poor Strong and Ridder. Jets ain’t teaching ish.

Interesting point on Kupp, he ran 4.62 at the Combine after a great college career at Eastern Washington.

Ram scout noted that he played much faster than that according to GPS data and they took him early in the 3rd rd.

Of course, Eagles relied on the same data to take Reagor after his bad combine.

Difference, Kupp was an extremely smart, polished WR even at the smaller college level who was tremendously productive in college.

Beware of QBs who start rising before the draft.

Teams talking themselves into reaching.

Yeah but this one is Strong….er

This one is Strong.

It’s almost worth not having Patrick Mahomes as our QB just so we wouldn’t have to deal with his fairy brother dancing like a 4 year old beauty pageant contestant every week.

damn he makes me wish it was still 1996…

It seems like people are forgetting the junk the Bills had at WR for Allen's first 2 seasons.  They went out and acquired a stud WR1, and acquired a G, C, and T in free agency.

Gabe Davis went the very next pick after K'Von Wallace.

I see nothing more than a ST/reserve player in Wallace.  Not a fan at all.

I mean, to be fair Davis is like their 5th option at WR which is why he was open so much.

Agreed.

Remember when people thought Wallace was the next Brian Dawkins? I was a fan of the kid with how much he embraced Philly and the fans, but got real nervous real quick that his Twitter talk wouldn’t match his play on the field. Sure enough.

I don't recall people saying he's the next Dawkins, but I do recall that the majority of posters here thought he was a good value pick in the 4th round and could end being one of our starting Ss.  He has disappointed, even for a 4th Round pick.

Doesn’t strong have screws in his knees? No thanks lol

Sorry, should of clarified, it was a Twitter thing where people were calling him the next Dawkins. Not here on the message boards. I like to think we’re a bit smarter than the Twitter/Facebook crowd

Give him time

I mean he is still basically a rookie since he hasnt started a game right?

How can Wallace disappoint for a 4th rd pick? What % of 4th rd picks become solid starters?

If he's a backup and solid ST guy he's good value there.

People have ridiculous expectations of middle round draft picks. You hit on one every so often who suprises, but most of the time you should be happy with a player who can contribute off the bench on a regular basis.
