How can Wallace disappoint for a 4th rd pick? What % of 4th rd picks become solid starters?

If he's a backup and solid ST guy he's good value there.

People have ridiculous expectations of middle round draft picks. You hit on one every so often who suprises, but most of the time you should be happy with a player who can contribute off the bench on a regular basis.

I agree...we all tend to fall in love with mid round picks though.

RIP Macho Harris lol

Speaking of safety, lot of good free agents available & a good safety class too. Eagles can really turn their secondary into a strength this offseason

When your GM has more misses on the majority of the 1st-3rd round picks, we have to have higher expectations for our lower round picks.

I’m confident that next year Taylor will avoid the injury bug and reach top speed of 23 mph.

Taylor does have some upside.

I seem to recall Macho Harris, early in his rookie season having a great game covering Tony Gonzalez. Macho was an instant star here after that, and then pretty much right away he began to suck. I dont understand what happened with him.

He’s a Safety from Clemson. Of course he’s the next Brian Dawkins

I was pretty down on him in the beginning of the season, but it looked like he turned a corner and the game was slowing down for him a bit. Of course he gets injured when him and Edwards started to play well together.

Remember when people thought Wallace was the next Brian Dawkins? I was a fan of the kid with how much he embraced Philly and the fans, but got real nervous real quick that his Twitter talk wouldn’t match his play on the field. Sure enough.

No. I don’t remember anyone ever saying that actually.

I don't think anyone in here was saying he was the next Dawkins, but a lot of the social media types were making all sorts of comparisons. He was generally accepted as a good pick at the time in the 4th.

I think part of the hype around Kvon Wallace was that he was seen as a steal in the fourth round as si e had him going as high as the 2nd.

He's been a major disappointment, after there was so much talk about him becoming an eventual starter and he's barely a special teamer

Not a bad pick it's just disappointing that he isn't a player.

What would the compensation be to acquire Russell Wilson?

I wonder if the Seahawks like Hurts. They seem to want to be a run-first team. Would two #1’s and Hurts get it done? I think it’s fair to assume 5 more good years for Wilson.

Quez Watkins would have double digit touchdowns with Russ under center. He’s one of the best deep ball throwers I’ve seen.

Yes, he's a 4th Round pick, but loads of posters here thought we got a steal and that was a word that was thrown around here and IIRC also reference by some of the so-called draft experts.  He was supposed to be a solid player who could be a starter was the consensus.

I looked up his stats and was surprised that he's actually played in 28 games in first 2 seasons.  I recall him being hurt and didn't think he'd played that much.  However, most of the snaps he gets are on STs.  He was only credited for having D snaps in 5 games this season:  the first 4 games (and in 2 of those games he had 14% and 26% of the D snaps) of the season and the last game vs the Cowgirls where we played our JV team.  So not as much of contributor as a backup and more just a STs guy, which you can find guys like that in the 6th Round.

So a 4th Round guy who was considered a steal even by some of the 'experts' and now is pretty much disregarded as even just a backup for the last 3/4 of the season when after LB, S is probably the position most devoid of talent on the team (Yeah, yeah, someone is going to say QB, I know).   So the fact he can't get a handful of backup snaps each game at a weak position for even most of the games (not even all of them) is disappointing.  He should be contributing more as a backup.

Yeah that’s gonna be his main issue it seems…staying on the field.

It’s almost worth not having Patrick Mahomes as our QB just so we wouldn’t have to deal with his fairy brother dancing like a 4 year old beauty pageant contestant every week.

damn he makes me wish it was still 1996…

Homophobia much?

Howie/Siriannis press conference last week they said how they saw Quez as a # 2 and most around here see him as a better #3. The coaching staff knows a lot more about where the ball is supposed to go on a play, so it would not be out of the question they realize Hurts isn’t finding him and hurting Quez’s development, along with the rest of the receivers.

I still think this team needs another solid receiving option, either WR or TE. I’ve seen a few brought up for FA targets and think they need to get one no matter who is the QB next season.
