Players are often dumb. Like a lot of lowest common denominator fans, there will be plenty of players who buy in to the swag, and "leadership" and want to play with Hurts.

Antonio Brown wants to play with Lamar Jackson. Certainly, the QBs passing ability is not top on the list for AB. 

Jalen Hurts is a pro bowl alternate. And a good portion of eagles fans would never have voted for him. So who do you think did? Im thinking maybe players had something to do with that.

He’s a Bama/Sooner alum - that helps with the players. There’s a good portion of Eagles fans and media who are excited by Swag for subjective reasons.

Spend the next two drafts rebuilding the defense, and ignore the obvious need at the most important position in all of sports and by the time you get a real QB- and he develops, your picks from this year will all be on their second contract. - And without a real QB here- likely the good ones moved to greener pastures. 

Smith and Watkins will want to move on if we dont get them a person who can throw them the ball. Because it affects their earning potential, NOT HAVING ONE.

I think it means more than even Williams.  From everything I've heard, Williams had a 'straight forward' ACL.  The NFL knows all about that, but apparently Strong has some extra intrigue with his knee.

I don't necessarily disagree but you also can't force it by taking someone just to take someone.  That's why I really want to see at least one pick traded for a future first and then spend the remaining firsts on defense.  At least that way you add more optionality if there is a guy you want next year.

Yeah, we gonna get the next Allen or Mahomes, I mean it's not like people miss on QBs taken in the first round, especially if you trade up to the top 10. Never happens.

Well... they were both safeties from Clemson... so the connection was obvious, even if their games weren't remotely similar.

   Sure.   Teams miss on Qbs in the top 10 all the time.   But... top 10 Qbs can also hit... like Mahomes and Allen.   And IIRC, Andy traded up to get Mahomes.   So, the antithesis of your condescension actually happens as well.   

 

I guess if you were running a team, you'd never draft a QB in the first round.  Just isn't smart.  Much better to draft every QB in the 6th round.  That seems to be where the value can be found.

Jeremiah has Jameson slipping alllllllll the way to 32 to the Chiefs. I don’t even want to imagine him, Hill and Kelce on the field at the same time. Good luck AFC.

I don’t know the quarterback factory should be able to find that great of a quarterback since they considered themselves a quarterback factory. You know teams who haven’t said that about themselves: Packers traded for favre after his rookie year and drafted rodgers. Chargers drafted Brees, rivers and then herbert.

He’s gonna finish top 5 in mvp voting this year. So that’s really not a stretch. Can make the argument rodgers, brady, Allen and mahomes are ahead. Competing with Wilson, Watson (assuming he plays next year), herbert for the 5th spot. I’d say lamar but he was not that good this year before he got hurt.

If the Packers keep Aaron Rodgers they need to fix their wide receiving corps. Adams was great and Aaron jones was fantastic catching the ball in that game but everyone else combined for 2 receptions for 6 yards and a fumble. I like Allen Lazard but he’s like Watkins. he’s better off being your third wide receiver. MVS is never healthy and inconsistent. And Cobb is at the end of his career. That is in my opinion is the weakest part of the Packers team. One of the reasons why I don’t think they could exploit the niners secondary as much as they wanted
