Called it at the time.

i don’t get how you don’t just kick the field goal there. You have no timeouts.  On top of that I feel like every time a team tries to go for it with 5 or less seconds, the QB just throws it away due to worrying about the clock. Just take the 3 and keep the momentum going.

Hats off to the Bengals though. This is the second time they played the Chiefs and got themselves down into a double digit hole and manage to get back into it with good second-half adjustments by their defense and burrow and the offense making timely plays. This game was very very very similar to the week 17 game besides chase not going crazy.

Impressive defensive effort.   Been a while since we've seen that around here.

Those last few plays to stop the chiefs in normal time red zone were amazing

He's learned and improved in some ways but he's still Andy in others.

This game is proof that "this team is years away from competing" is not real. You're a winner at QB away from competing.

Trade 7 first round picks for Wilson

Joe Shiesty is a nickname I can get behind.

Worst kind of fan.  One that says, "my other team is”.

Hopefully someone pelted him in the back of the head with a beer.

That stop just before the half was key, and turned the game on its head

Yup.  Gave Bengals hope.  Giving up the 3 there wouldn't have been devastating, but it would have hurt on the scoreboard.  Can't just leave points on the field like that in a Championship Game.

Andy Reid and clock management don't really go together.

I know everyone is going to be worshipping Burrows after this game but can we talk about their defense the last two weeks? They're the main reason the Bengals are still in the playoffs.

Bengals Defense has made the difference, Shut down KC's offense in the second half on the road, with all their weapons in the AFCCG

Great job by Lou. That’s the second game in a row he’s figured out the chiefs offense. Held them to 9 points in the second half and overtime this year. What makes it more impressive is they’re not a great defense. They have some nice pieces but they’re not a complete defense. he did a great job putting them in the position to do such.

At least Romo finally got to a championship game......

Didn't bobble the snap either.

Seriously, that is like a historic choke. Up 21-3 at home, dominating. Not fluky either, a great QB.

And in the 2nd half Reid gets super tight conservative. He lost the game with the way he ended each half. First half blew that. 2nd half he had the W in his pocket. They were at the 5 yard line and got cute. That was about as poorly coached a 2nd half as I've ever seen.

Not to take away from Mahomes, he started missing throws too, but man.

I hope we try to sign Bates this offseason

True. This isn’t just an Andy thing. I watch enough football teams do that all the time where they try to get one play in the end zone with 5-6 seconds thinking it only take 3 to 4 seconds. Usually the quarterback just throws it away because they are afraid the clock will run out. And then they just kicked the field goal anyways.  mahomes didn’t understand his throw it away and take the 3 and Andy made a bad decision.

With 5 seconds... you have to kick.   With 7 or more seconds, you can throw a ball into the end zone and still get a shot at the FG... but to throw the ball in the field of play, with 5 seconds left.... that was criminally stupid.

But... putting yourself in a hole against the Chiefs is playing with fire.  They nearly got burned.

Just caught up on that game. As much as I respect AR. the Chiefs have been far too cocky for their own good for the past few years.  I'm glad they got that moment

Well, the price for trading for him is not diminishing

I don’t disagree with you. I’ve just seen other teams try to do the same thing. And the quarterback usually just gets the snap and throws it away because he’s worried about the clock running out. Which is why like you, I just kick it with five seconds and not have to even worry about it.

Cannot tell you how Impressed I am with Burrow.

He is the least physically talented of the 4 AFC QBs, but he is the best.

I don't know about that, his arm seems just fine.

So happy for Cincy....

But 'Who Dey?'

No thanks.

We know who they are.

Sounds too much like the Saints thing.

And these Bengals are so much more likeable than the Aints.
