I think his biggest problem is he gets way too conservative late in games. He did that against Dallas too.

The SF DB might have shot himself in the groin.  That was the type of play that can more or less end a game.  But, in a one score game, missing that can go the other way.

Stafford looks like the best version of Hurts right now.  Throw a should-be int downfield.  Inexplicably complete one pass, move downfield on a penalty.  Miss 10 yards out of bounds.  Get a first on a dump off.

They did that against Dallas to. Which I said was completely idiotic on a QB sneak where they need just an inch and it cost them. They got a a penalty had to punt and held on for dear life
