Yup.  SF, Shanny, Jimmy G all get a fresh set of new knee pads for blowing this game.  Oh, and Tartt.  He gets first choice for dropping one of the easiest INTs you'll ever see.

Meh.  it was bad either way.   He takes the sack, they are in a 4th and 19 or so situation with no timeouts.  

 

They lost the game before then.  That play was just the final nail in the coffin.   Frankly, the game was lost on that Trent Williams motion run play... from that point on, the 49ers looked bad.

Rams were my SB pick. I can’t see them losing to CIN, but it’ll be a good game. 

Bengals going to get their asses kicked. Can't stand the Rams but I don't think their OL will hold up at all.

Yup, if the eagles had a legit qb I'd be a fan of taking another WR, plus they already have an o line, a really good QB with good weapons can make up the difference for average o line okay.

I know chase gets all the love and he's been great but tee Higgins is a problem for D's as well.

Good young group they have there with burrow, chase Higgins and mixon.

They could be a force for a bit

Exceptionally interesting playoffs.

The Bills and Chiefs were unquestionably the 2 best teams in the dance.  They eliminated each other.  The survivor of that game was too physically and emotionally exhausted to compete the following week.

The Bengals?  One week ago, Mahomes was performing at a level befitting Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Tiger Woods, Federer.  The Bengals faced a QB who...well...kind of played like crap.

The SB bound Rams tried desperately to choke their way out of the playoffs.  We almost saw a team with a below average QB make it to a winnable SB game.  We have a team with no OL in a winnable SB game.

What can we take from this?  Does it mean you don't need an elite QB?  Does it mean you don't need an offensive line?  No and no.

But it does mean that all that talk of it being a long decade for NFL fans who aren't wearing Mahomes/Allen/Burrow/Herbert jerseys might be premature.  We have all these demoralizingly unbeatable AFC powerhouses...and the SB will be contested by Bengals/Rams.  

The Eagles aren't close to reliably contending for a SB in the way KC does every year.  But they are close to doing it with a wave of luck in the way the next tier does.
