This guy is a fraud. Not an insider.

Also, Howie checks in on *everyone*

Hopefully I didn't touch a Hurts nerve.

Someone is feeling left out _ somebody want to let him know, all the QB's below WON at least 1 SB?

I have never weighed in a strong opinion about Watson.  The numbers are excellent, but I really haven't seen him play much at all to say that I am or am not a believer.  This ambivalence is compounded by the personal/legal issues that I haven't really read into.  No idea if he's a good guy, bad guy, or in between.

But if you ARE on the Watson bandwagon...my advice...I'd trade for him ASAP.  I don't think the NFL wants to see a marketable, young, high end QB go to waste.  If you wait for the legal issues to clear up, the cost will be astronomical.  If you make the trade while there are still dark clouds, you get the unique opportunity of getting that young franchise QB at a discount.  IF you are a Watson guy, then take the risk and do it now.  It's worth the savings.

Speaking of, did this take some of the shine from Bienemy and his aspirations to be a head coach ??

I was wondering the same, that KC offense were a mess in the 2nd half which reflects poorly on bienemy.

Gotta say, I must be getting old. The diamonds and Gold oversized bling of His initials and the number 9, with a Nike Swoosh? turns me off a bit - it makes me question him. That may sound unfair to younger people, but that is a clear sign of a "look at me" personality, a self cenetered narcissist. Reminds me of Cam Netwons fashion shows. It's one thing to look good. IThis goes beyond that.

With the way Hurts is getting Marketed, can you imagine Watson with his ability to play?

The concern with Bienemy is that he's standing there in a headset while Mahomes and AR are fully responsible for the success or failure of that offense.  I don't blame Bienemy for the failures or credit him for the successes.

I think that concern is valid, not racist.  However, I will acknowledge that lots of observer assistant coaches get HC opportunities simply because GM's hope the proximity to greatness rubs off.

In fairness, Sileo and Gary Cobb were pushing this last week in his podcast.

I have no doubt Howie will leave no stone unturned -- Watson, Wilson, Rodgers .... other veteran QBs available, pre-draft visits with all of the first round QB prospects.

There really isn't going to be any meaningful news on Watson until his legal issues are resolved.

Sure sponsors will be tripping over themselves to attach a guy who has sexually assaulted over 20 women to their brand.

In theory I agree, but the Texans are acting like Watson is a perfect asset.

Yup McNabb had 4 in his first 5 seasons but choked his best chance of winning one away.

Give Deebo a few years like CMC has had.

They most certainly are.  I suppose they have a little bit of a bitter Ben Simmons-like situation on their hands where they would be happy to let him rot until they get full value, regardless of their leverage.  If that's the case, things aren't going anywhere.

If they do play the long game, there is a good chance they get to market him as a perfect asset after the legal issues clear up.  If their resolve waivers...there will probably be some point in this saga where the legal issues remain, a few potential buyers have already found other solutions, and they may take less in a shrinking market.

I think Mcnabb had 4 in his first 6.  First year missed playoffs, 2nd year I believe they lost in the divisional playoffs to the Giants with the infamous Jason Sehorn bobble-pick.  Year 3 kicked off the 4 straight NFCCG's.

Then Mcnabb went to one more after that where we lost to the Cards, right?

McNabb was just dreadful against the Bucs and Panthers.  I have no interest in going back to watch again to remember which was worse, but they were both really bad performances.

Yes.

Not sure if this was posted already, but it shows great OL play and a good offensive scheme that was getting receivers consistently open.

Breaking news, Howie has contacted 30 GMs about possible player, draft pick trades!

I think calling other GMs and sounding out possible deals is part of the job description.

I think if he settles out of court much like Rothlisberger did that sponsors will turn a blind eye as they like the NFL just care about the money.

Most fans have no idea about Ben's two rape cases, he won super bowls and then stayed out of trouble and was marketed well and in the eyes of the NFL and most fans he gets a free pass.

Heck one of the biggest faces of the NFL in the early 2000s was Ray lewis who was most likely part of a murder cover up.

If it's not caught on tape( Ray rice ect...) or found guilty in court  the court of public opinion doesn't seem to care.

I imagine if Watson settles out of court in a years most fans sponsors teams won't pay any mention to his past.

It's not right but it is what it is.🤷‍♂️

somehow I missed this

If I recall correctly, late in each game, driving for a score and he throws the dreaded forced INT in each game that helped seal the deal.

Fun stat, while we are discussing Mcnabb.  Mcnabb has played the 3rd most playoff games, all time, of any QB to not win the SB...after Marino and Kelly.

The thing is, you don't have to go to LA to be a "celebrity" anymore.  That's half the draw of the influencer lifestyle.  You can create content anywhere.  I think you're going to see even more teens with influencer dreams.  It's going to create a tremendous gap for a lot of kids.  They are going to think they can become an influencer while not developing any other real world skills.

To make things worse, you have the whole Metaverse thing.  People are just living alternate realities rather than their real life.

Eh.  Reminds me of folks we had in "marketing ".  Tended to be attractive folk and many of them were good at golf.  When things got serious on something, they would call in those of us with technical expertise.  Can’t tell you how many pre meetings with customers I sat through where the marketing rep would basically say, they were just setting up the meeting but would bow out of the serious discussion.  The influencers make money as basically online marketers.  Not salespeople, because they aren’t really filling that role but rather marketers, introducing and endorsing the products.  They will just morph into other marketing roles once their influencer role dries up.  Or retire on the wealth they made.  Basically, glad hands.  Basically modern day Ron Popeils. "But wait, there’s more….”

I never know what to make of these stats, but that's pretty damning if Hurts was the second most well supported QB in the NFL, given his performance.
