I'm not sure how Cleveland used him.  I read that Mayfield apparently couldn't throw a certain type of pass/route that OBJ excels at.  Something along those lines, from what I recall.

Thanks - I haven't watched CLE much, but yeah paired with a QB and maybe the best receiver in league - OBJ seems more effective.

Shocker.

Ronde Barber, Ricky Manning Jr, and Rodney Harrison are much better Mcnabb defenders than you are.

I never realized this.  Burrow has the opportunity to really build a legacy in Cincinnati.

I would never start one of my mocks with a double dip in OL. But in the end,  I kind of love this mock.

It's an interesting one. And I love Walker.

I was at one time, but he's a petty person.  He's always looking for a reason to feel like he's being left out.   Tarkenton and Kelly went to 4 Super Bowls, and weren't included on the list either, but his tweet is only about himself, not all 3.  So, it's a 'look at me' tweet and showing.   It's fine.  #5 will always love me.

Can't recall seeing Big Ben getting a lot of sponsorships.  Can't even recall any national sponsorships.

I think he was one of the tostito guys???

But yeah not a ton of sponsors out side if the local market and the stupid burger named after him.👎

In theory I agree, but the Texans are acting like Watson is a perfect asset.

They're going to want top value for him while any team looking to acquire him won't want to pay top value due to the unresolved legal issues.  I think teams will come around and kick the tires, but I'd be surprised if a deal is struck before his legal issues are resolved.

Speaking of his legal issues, question.  Since it's reported that he saw all these masseuses (over 20 have filed charges against him) and that he sexually assaulted them, if he was looking for sex the odds are that a few of them would have been open to it probably for extra compensation.  Should that be so then why wouldn't he keep seeing the ones who were OK providing sex (if that is what he was truly seeking) and instead kept seeing different masseuses?  That's what I find odd is the number of masseuses he saw.  Something there isn't right.

If you look at the two key numbers on that chart, open rate and PBWR, Allen and Mahomes had a significant edge over other QBs, Burrow did the most with the least.

Playoffs have shown that defense is back, not shutdown defense, but make big plays and big stops defense. And Special teams.

Stafford is the same QB he was in Detroit, big arm, ten cent brain, made some bad throws into coverage and got away with a dropped interception.

Two things Eagles could learn from SF, they need a power back (Howard can't stay healthy) and a WR who can RAC, Smith and Watkins aren't guys you want running underneath routes and breaking tackles. With smaller back sevens, a guy like Samuel can reap havoc. Notice defenses generally took away the big play, so being able to dink and dunk was a key to success.

Lol I think the main takeaway from SF is that no matter how great the team you build is, if you’re QB can’t throw the ball, you’re not going to win the big games.

Ah, you guys are tough on him.  Pretty sure the tweet was a "tongue-in-cheek" type of remark.  If anything, those 5 conference Championship games are as close to "bitter sweet" as it gets...and I'm sure he knows that.  It's great to be remembered for them but without a ring, those games are "bitter sweet" types of memories for most, (including McNabb) imo.

Not sure if this was posted already, but it shows great OL play and a good offensive scheme that was getting receivers consistently open.

So Hurts had both the 3rd best WR open rate and the 3rd best pass block win rate.  If this data is in the ballpark then it's a very telling conclusion of his QB play.

I see on the bottom of the table it's compiled from more than just one source.  Interesting.  Thanks for posting this.

For the Hurts Washers - And the  Bengals dont have the Oline we have here. WHat they do have is a franchise QB.

So why is ours a 7 year rebuild like some suggest?

I have never weighed in a strong opinion about Watson.  The numbers are excellent, but I really haven't seen him play much at all to say that I am or am not a believer.  This ambivalence is compounded by the personal/legal issues that I haven't really read into.  No idea if he's a good guy, bad guy, or in between.

But if you ARE on the Watson bandwagon...my advice...I'd trade for him ASAP.  I don't think the NFL wants to see a marketable, young, high end QB go to waste.  If you wait for the legal issues to clear up, the cost will be astronomical.  If you make the trade while there are still dark clouds, you get the unique opportunity of getting that young franchise QB at a discount.  IF you are a Watson guy, then take the risk and do it now.  It's worth the savings.

I agree with your logic. I don't want Watson at any price but if I did, I would do as you suggest.

And there was a generation that wanted to grow and be rock stars (or at least get laid)

And a generation that wanted to go to Hollywood and star in movies.

Reality TV has been around for a while.

This will die off as viewers get bored, clicks drop, revenues drop and they have to do something else, like become a television evangelical preacher.

Get rich quick schemes have attracted people for a century.

It will not die off but it will morph and change into something else. Something more professional and better put together. I think that it will end up replacing traditional TV as the main form of entertainment.

It will drive so many people nuts.

I am part of the older generation, which is probably why I am on this board instead of reddit, and while I don't get Egames at all, I get the appeal.

PS:  Burrow has an average arm at best. Extremely smart, highly accurate, athletic and a gamer, but he's not going to blow anyone away with his arm strength.

Unless your DB actually catches the bad throw from the QB with the big arm.

In the end, their asking price will be dictated by how many bidders there are.  Last time around Watson listed only the Dolphins and Jets as teams he would waive his no-trade clause for -- that makes all other teams irrelevant.

He has to give a list of teams to the Texans (if the grand jury doesn't indict him on any felonies), settle his civil lawsuits -- then teams may come forward to inquire in a serious way.  I'd be shocked if he gave a list to the Texans that include more than 4 teams; then you subtract the teams that aren't interested.

Compared to Hurts he has Josh Allen / Aaron Rodgers arm talent.

7 years?  This upcoming season is year 2 of a 2 year "rebuild", from my understanding.  Pretty sure they plan on (already) being competitive in 2022. (Like they were in 2021; hopefully better).

yup.   Agree with you 100% in your disagreement and agreement here.

I figure to balance fair value/risk the bulk of the trade compensation (picks) should be deferred until 2023 and/or beyond, and contingent upon exoneration.  He's still a freak, but also freaky.

Because they have a QB... and we do not.
