Some idiot just called 97.5 trying to make the point for Hurts that a game manager with a good team around him can win consistently and win in the playoffs. Mike Missanelli asked him who the game manager that has done that is, the caller responds " Tom Brady " Has Mikey miss lost his mind yet this week? cause i imagine there’s been some ridiculously bad callers this week.

Plus it seems like Sirianni is endorsing him as well. If Sirianni is serious about what he’s saying when it comes to Hurts the. I question him as a head coach. Sirianni said exactly what he should have said. The Eagles are not going to tip their hand in regards to their plans, and are not going to lower Hurts trade value by saying anything but what they said in the media.

Most of those games were unwatchable. The Bills-Pats was an exhibition... but only by one team. But the 7 seeds weren't even close to belonging on the same field as the 2 seeds. Just an embarrassment for the league, honestly. But no worries... they will go to 8 teams soon. Might even go with 12 and give the top 4 a bye sooner rather than later.

Point being "that’s all”, as if getting Rodgers while also getting an elite pass rush in one off-season while retaining or replacing any free agents is easy as pie

These games was downright unwatchable and having even worse teams playing the 2nd or 3 best teams isn’t a good product to watch.

NFL branded this last week of football as super wildcard weekend and I thought it was a horrible week of games. Mostly blowouts and the two games that ended closely really wasn’t that close. Dallas was down big and the game only got interesting with 5:00 left. Cincinnati went down to the wire but In Reality the Bengals was never in doubt of losing that game and they should have been up by 13. The NFL needs to get rid of the 7th wildcard team because the matchups put to many bad teams vs much better competition. Just my two "cents” The 2 vs 7 games are the only thing different; all the other games/matchups/results would be identical without it. The Eagles beat non-playoff teams all season and it showed when facing the #2 seed, who happened to be the Super Bowl champs. The game was never likely to be close. The Steelers were outclassed by the #2 Chiefs, who have been the AFC champions the past couple of years. That game was never going to be close. It's all about creating fan interest among the teams who are "also-rans" -- the Eagles and Steelers fill that slot this year. The larger question is what will the result be of only one team getting a bye to the divisional round? How will the #2 seeds fare in the playoffs vs historical data?

That tells you everything you need to know. I much rather have watched Justin Herbert than the crap Steelers.

It’s cause we’ve entered a time loop where it’s fashionable again to defend the QB at all costs. Fans did it with wentz (myself included at times) we’ve just moved it onto hurts because fans are desperate to have a franchise Qb. So they want to anoint him.

January 18, 20223 yr The QB situation is a nagging, dark cloud that makes it difficult to focus on drafting other positions with statistical shelf lives much shorter than the expected search and development time of a QB. A GM needs to manage that problem and straddle that line. As fans, we can choose to beat the dead QB horse or move on to other positions. Our choice, doesn't matter which one we make. In an attempt to get to other positions...I've constantly reiterated my nihilistic view of dominant defenses and defensive playmakers. But you've got to invest in the defense in some capacity at some point, otherwise you'll end up with too many holes. I don't want to over-invest in the futile hope of getting a game changer on defense...but simply getting better is, of course, essential. In many cases, better doesnt need to cost you a first round pick. On one hand, I look at the select few defensive veterans around the NFL whose ability to impact a game I would value at a first round level. And then I look at our draft history (and expected/typical draft slot outcomes) and suppose that a quality defensive starter beats expectations. Would you want to invest a 1st round pick in a simply good safety prospect who is not an Eric Berry/Earl Thomas type prospect? Would you want to invest a 1st round pick in a DE who is a good all around prospect, but not an elite athlete and does not project as an elite edge rusher? Do you want to invest a 1st round pick in a good CB prospect (in a deep class) who is not at the top of the class when there is pretty good depth behind him? Do you want to break our no LB 1st round streak on someone who is 6' 225 and was surrounded by elite SEC defensive talent? Those are not rhetorical questions. I am not certain of the answers.

Also Campbell was an all pro this year. I’d take jenkins the lineman too when healthy. Also like stokes the rookie corner. Stop. Think. Compare the guys you mentioned to the guys on the Eagles roster. Then rethink your point.
