If his knee checks out, I'm really hoping he's the pick. Siri has plenty of experience with statue QBs. Luck, Brissett, Rivers...

Only common opponent...Ridder won, Howell didn't.

Only if I can be the guy that gives you the WTF hand gestures on camera when you don't take my guy.

Dude, mock draft team selection thread is open.  Did you not see that I @'d you ??

If they think he's the guy, I'd actually prefer they grab him at 15/16....I hate that the Saints are directly in front of us at 18/19.

Brady finished with 84,520 regular season passing yards, with 624 TDs.

Mahomes currently has 18,991 and 151.

To catch Brady, he'd need to get 65,529 yards and 473 TDs.

Mahomes currently averages 4,677 yards and 38 TDs per year (Didn't count any of his rookie stats, though some may argue he's still an unproven rookie). Based on those numbers, he'd need about 14 years of that sustained average to pass Brady.

Certainly not impossible by any means, but far from a certainty, IMO.

Totally disagree.

what Brady did is amazing, but things are changing.

you think he's gonna retire at 34 lol.

No, I think Mahomes would need about 14 seasons and to play until he's close to 40.  I think that's realistic.  I don't think he's going to smash Brady's record unless he plays until he is 45.  Hebert actually may have a better chance at passing Brady and really smashing his records.  He would need to average over 5000 for the next 14 seasons too and would be 3 years younger than Mahomes at the same time they may both be catching Brady.

4600 yards in an 18 game season seems simple with todays rules

We don't have 18 game seasons.

I find myself in all the mocks I do taking Strong at 19. I think the value there is right, and it's worth the "risk" at that point, especially with two other firsts. If we only had one first rounder, I'd be far more hesitant.

Nah... If I'm convinced enough to draft him at 19, I grab him at 16.  15, I look to trade back if I know the team trading up is going elsewhere.

But if I'm willing to grab him at 19, I don't risk a team jumping in at 17 or 18 to steal him away.  No position matters like QB, and no other player available between 15-19 would likely be as big a potential impact.  It doesnt mean I'd be right or that a stud might go in the meantime, but I dont risk losing out on the QB if I can help it... but I also dont trade up for him, because there does seem to be a lot of risk with him.

That's a better read and throw than the first one.

Haha yeah I posted the same thing essentially right after. Those snakey Saints are a real pain our ass

Yes. I want to be in charge of the cheerleaders.

Sorry, Watson is making that a condition to waive his no trade.

I missed it somehow. I hate having a freaking job sometimes.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better throw in NCAA over the past 5 years, honestly.  And there's nothing about that play that wouldn't translate.  Sits in the pocket, makes the read, drops a dime over the defense.

The best about that kid besides all of his pre snap work, is he doesn’t always put enough air under his long passes, his longest recorded  throw was 67-68 yards and he did just miss the receiver, overthrown but the pass was there in an instant.
I’d bet he’s somewhere around Mahomes and Herbert strength wise, with Allen at the top.

You have to draft a QB in 2021, but Lawrence is gone, who are you taking?    Personally I didn’t like Wilson or Jones so that leaves Lance or Fields for me and I take Lance.
You can’t teach his athleticism, size, and his compact throwing motion, he throws like Chase Utley swings a bat.

Like you I’d have taken lance. I like Wilson but i didn’t like him enough to take him at 2. However the eagles tried to move up so.

Lance was the 2nd best prospect in that draft.  Wilson had terrible footwork and came off as a ****, Fields had worse college tape than Haskins, and Mac Jones had a finite upside even though he was the most pro-ready other than Lawrence.

Yep. I've been saying he was my guy all year. Just hope he falls to them because he may go in the 10-14 range if not higher. It won't happen but I'd love Strong, Linderbaum as the C of the future, and a DE with 15, 16, and 19.

Which I believe is in 2030? So Mahomes would be in his 30s at that point....
