Could be. Seems like it's a little more since Hurts said he wanted to avoid surgery. Still don't quite understand why either would be needed if he had a minor sprain, 2 weeks of rest, then had a game before the playoff game off. Everyone from Sirianni to Hurts said it was basically 100% entering the Tampa game and he certainly didn't look like it was hindering him at all.

Best scenario is to just invert the draft order for the teams that don't make the playoffs, and leave the playoff bracket as it is.  

Last team to miss the playoffs gets the top pick.  Worst record gets the pick right before the playoff teams.  

So, this year it would be: 

1. Saints
2. Chargers
3. Eagles - from Indy
4. Eagles - from Miami
5. Ravens
6. Browns
7. Vikings
8. Washingteam
9. Jets - from SEA
10. Broncos
11. Falcons
12. Giants - from CHI
13. Panthers
14. Giants
15. Jets
16. Texans
17. Lions
18. Jags

 

And it would eliminate 'NFL purgatory'.  Trouble is, the really bad teams would likely stay really bad.

Regardless of whether Hurts is the starter for next season or not, WR absolutely needs to be addressed in some capacity.
