Rule 2: looking good at the Senior bowl should be taken with a large bag of salt Rule 3: prospects rising at this time of the year is a media invention, scouts have been looking at two years of film and doing background checks for months now, if they change their mind over a few practices at the Senior bowl or combine workouts they're idiots. At best, they're just looking for confirmation or red flags. Back to your slobbering over prospects. Except that the Eagles seem to put a fairly large amount of stock in the Senior Bowl and have drafted Senior Bowl standouts quite frequently..

It is 3 weeks quarantine for average travelers. For the Olympics participants and personnel, they go into the bubble right away and stay inside the entire time. Daily testing for everyone there.

I am sure they have people at the Shrine practices doing the same thing. I would think those that insist that the Eagles must immediately replace Hurts would be thrilled that the Eagles are taking this approach. Based on the practices, I suspect they are questioning the value of the QBs in this class. Let’s take Willis. Big complaint on Hurts is his ability to read. Willis’ strong arm doesn’t make him better at reading. His games against bigger schools didn’t convince me he was any better. Raw and a project? Why would that be acceptable for Willis in the first round and not Hurts?

But I don't see what is racist about sham interviews when there is a rule requiring them. And when someone throws in random non-racist dirt (Brady tampering, pay-to-lose scheme) it just comes off as sour grapes trying to tear down a system that he failed in while attaching it to the unstoppable racism train. I think the point of the rule isn't to have sham interviews but actual interviews with actual candidates who are minorities. If every other person interviewed for the job is white and is given a serious interview, it might be a problem both in terms of compliance with the NFL's own rule and a discrimination claim. Flores doesn't need a smoking gun to prove intent. He needs a combination of anecdotal and statistical evidence. The $100,000 payments are problematic for the owner. Florio discussed whether the payments could violate Federal sports bribery laws. There is also a Florida anti-sports bribery law that is broader and probably applicable in my view. Money is hard to hide if the person you gave it to wants to prove they got it from you.

February 3, 20223 yr I haven't heard much about it, but why is Jeff Lurie's son becoming more involved? Besides the obvious reason of being the owners son.

February 3, 20223 yr Willis is a lot closer to Vick than he is to Hurts, but Vick couldn't read a defense either, so...

Money is hard to hide if the person you gave it to wants to prove they got it from you. Spoken like a member of the plaintiff bar. Let’s address the first flaw. He didn’t go through the EEOC process first. That restricts an employment case. Anecdotal is rather worthless in a class action. By its very nature, it is individual, not grouped. Second, the Rooney rule, especially with the draft compensation, goes far beyond what a reasonable and prudent employer has to do in a normally hiring situation. They won’t be held to the NFL standard but rather what the standard is for a similar employer. Think, for example, women music engineers/producers as that is also an entertainment organization. Third, let’s talk statistics. 35% of the coaches and football operations are staffed by minorities. Further, the employer won’t be considered solely by football operations but the organization as a whole. When you add in that aspect, the organizations look extremely diverse. Now let’s discuss the alleged Ross bribe. Way to individual to stand in a class action. Same with the QB/yacht thing. Then add in the injunctive relief sought. Very narrow. Eugene Chung wouldn’t fit. Neither would Raiche. Frankly, the petition looks like grandstanding and not written by an attorney experienced in class actions. I would give that snowball in hell a better chance of class certification than this lawsuit.

Because Lurie is grooming him to take over the franchise. Jeff is 70, how much longer is he going to play an active role? He's been doing the various jobs thing to get an idea how the team works, both on the business and football side. https://fastphillysports.com/eagles-next-ceo-after-jeff-lurie-meet-26-year-old-julian-lurie/ https://theathletic.com/3107490/2022/02/02/why-julian-luries-presence-at-the-senior-bowl-matters-eagles-qb-jalen-hurts-to-undergo-ankle-surgery/
